This video shows ground and drone views of the Peerless Coal & Coke Company's store and offices located at Vivian [Bottom] in McDowell County, West Virginia, as well as views of the old Vivian Grade School located about 100 yards from the Peerless building in the same bottom at Vivian. Included are old photos of Vivian when it was a booming coal town. The Peerless building was built in 1921, placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, and was thereafter gutted by an arson fire. I could not locate information about when the grade school was built and/or closed.
