"The Man Who Would Be King" is a 1975 adventure film directed by John Huston, starring Sean Connery and Michael Caine. The movie is based on the 1888 novella of the same name by Rudyard Kipling. This movie is not well known for reasons that I don't understand. It is a hidden gem of an adventure tale and well worth a review.

Great reaction like always, Love this movie. And a fun-fact, this script was originally written as a TV pilot for a series but the network didnt bought it, so it was turned into a movie script. Had it been a series we would've found out more of Columbus' rules as it went along and had a different Zombie Kill of the Week for each new episode. It also explains why Little Rock and Wichita, who had been shown to be very smart throughout the movie would all of sudden turn stupid and not realize that turning on the amusement park would attract every zombie in the area. They didn't have a "movie ending" in the original TV script. So this was put together just to rush the movie out.

Totally agree on Jesse, Lex Luthor might be the worst case of casting in the history of film. I've heard that he's not playing Lex Luthor, but Alexander Luthor Jr., son of Lex. Either way, he became the poster child or why Marvel is so much better than DC. Being a comic collector since 1960, I grew up on DC before discovering Marvel, so it hurts my heart that DC is so horrible with their films. Outside of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, which I barely consider DC, and the first Wonder Woman, they've been a disaster ... just ask Ryan Reynolds. Had big fun watching you see this fun movie! Keep smiling!

Here's hoping James Gunn will help shape new DC into something awesome, but I've mostly lost hope 😅
@chadbennett787323 күн бұрын
@@VerowakReacts DC is fatally flawed. I grew up as a oomic collector and I still collect to this day. DC was my first love and I have a nearly complete set of early Flash, who was my favorite. They completely killed that character with a ridiculously mischaracterization of who he was, then what might be the worst casting ever. The only character they got right was Wonder Woman, an even then, they screwed up the writing on the second film. Marvel had much better coordination in story telling, a larger plan in which each film was a piece. Their screw up was they felt it necessary, like Disney as their parent, to represent every person's identity on the planet in the film; meaning race, gender, age, etc. They weren't satisfied making billions, they aimed for trillions. No personality identifiers left behind. I don't know if either brand can recover, because as is typical with producers, they believe they know much better than the beloved source material, and the geniuses who created the characters are now dead and can't fight for their creations. As a writer, I hurt for their memories. I do appreciate your respect for the films you watch, and there are many I look forward to watching with you. Stay the course ... there are good stories to see.
