Hey Dumplings, today I want to get into more #Kpop news. I want to talk about #BTS news specifically. I want to get into some of the rules that apparently RM has broken. I want to get into V's poor treatment by HYBE rumors and his new song "Rainy Days". And then I want to get into RM telling the truth about his dog. This is V's first solo album. R&B and Jazz music genres suit V’s relatively deep and unique voice very well👏🏻. I believe this is the music that V desires to have, with his own style and characteristics. 😉

These styles fit V perfectly. As for RM. RM hits differently too. He is also a very deep and private individual. I will be thrilled the day that RM finds his forever love. He stormed me as the type that will be really 'home' then. I have a pic of a dog that looks like one of my dogs as a puppy that I kept for a very long time. Pets are family. I still have two fur babies now. In my old age they keep me going. ❤❤

This genre is soulful and Taehyung's voice compliments each song he sings. The tone of his voice brings me the feeling of Peace and Hope. "Sway With Me" , mmmmmm, I can listen to anytime, even with the Littles (children) around. 💜❤️😘

I like the way V has been dropping his music. It was cool to have a fun surprise. I think he wants the people to find his music so that those who will appreciate it the most will be listening to it. Sometimes it is hard for people to realize creativity and art isn't always for the purpose of creating a top hit and being number 1. An artist at his level...well creating art for him means so much more than that.

Tae's voice truly suits jazz. That low, silky smooth, and semi-breathless sounding voice of his is the sound of many male big band/jazz artists from the 50's and 60's. Jazz is his passion and what suits his voice. I kinda disagree about Hybe doing any kind of promotion of Tae's music. I keep seeing commercials for his album box, land on people's front doors and he's promoting his music on Weverse too. Jungkook's promotion has been guest appearances on Good Morning America, BBC Radio 1, Spotify, and other music talk shows. Mostly ones that only air online. Plus those kinds of promotions don't cost anything, other than airfare, hotel, meals, etc. Tae's music is more stand or sit and sing. It's definitely not jump around and dance whereas Jungkook's is more club music. All the guy's debuts have been really different. Suga's tour had to be mega expensive. He probably paid for a lot of it out of pocket. And where he only had 1 video, Tae is expected to have a video for each song. Like Dave says we have no idea what goes on in those planning and budget meetings. They've all done very well as I expect Tae will do just as well. I know they aren't jealous of each other or bad-mouthing behind each other's backs 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

V is so individual, he doesn’t want to be the same as others, he wants to make music that he likes. Kpop is all about “pop music”, so it makes a change to hear something different from V.

Sorry to hear the sad news about RM's pet, only those who love their pets know the pain this brings to those who loved him. As for the recent V songs, I just have to say that many songs are an instant hit and then forgotten and others don't reach #1 on the charts but are listened to and enjoyed for decades, I believe that is the case. V's music will be heard for years to come, it's timeless and reflects V's true colors. Being #1 isn't all there is to it. Love from Brazil 💜

Very well said. I was really hoping V's album would be in a jazz or blues style, and he didn't disappoint. And this style of music is classic and will last. I've liked most of the recent songs of the individual members so I'm not knocking their music. But this style just fits V so well.

Tae’s music is beautiful and I can see playing it often. I see constant chatter about how poorly Tae has been treated. Is there any truth to this? It makes no sense to me. He’s incredibly talented and well-loved.

Look at how the others get promoted vs how Tae is. Only people who don't want to acknowledge the bias will at this point keep saying it's not true. He is apart of BTS and so many people didn't even know he dropped solo songs. Tae did the countdown himself without any teasers and only Hobi posted about it. This is 1000% not like any of the 6 members but people still play like they can't see the clear difference.

If you just looked at all the others roll-out for 5 minutes you'd see the difference but starting to notice you brush off whenever someone talks about mistreatment heck there's even articles talking about how there was no promotion are these being written by crazy fans no these aren't even Kpop magazines or websites. I have been a fan of yours for years but now it feels super corporate and more bias.

Taehyung's music isn't being promoted to the mainstream, and the music rollout didn't provide much notice. Fans are working hard to stream and buy his music to support him. I'm proud of what fans, especially those who truly love Tae, have done so far. This is just the beginning, and the lead single and album won't be out for a few weeks, so we have these next few weeks to organize and prepare.

Taehyung's new songs are beautiful, artistic and simply HIM. As you say, he could have easily put out a few hits in a Kpop style, but didn't. He is making music that he always wanted to do, and I think these songs are here to stay. He is at the point when he is already wealthy, famous and does not need to compromise or humour the audience. This is a kind of artist he is, enjoying his work, staying true to himself, even if it brings less revenue and chart ratings. I respect that greatly, have seen artists like that and they make an impact, are valued by critics and the real connoiseres and last for decades. Beautifly done Taehyung, be yourself, we love you as you are. 🐯💜

I have played Vs songs ever since they came out. I love them both. It’s so different and i think we will be playing his album for a long time. Love the MVideos too. Especially for rainy day. Namjoon is so funny. I think he is doing ok. I'm sad that Moni passed. I with you, David. The passing of my cat sent me into therapy. I then got 2 cats. When it is their time, I’ll be going back into therapy. Then no more pets.

BTS have fans of all ages (This includes the older people). Jazz was the rage at one point in time. I think it was Genius of V to do an album of Jazzy tunes. It may not be everyone's cup of "tea", it is however Great Music. I wish the best for all BTS Members and can't wait until they make their reunion concert. Love to them all from afar. 💞👂🎤🎶👂💞

I love, love "Love me Again", and the more I hear it, the more I love it! I think these songs have a more sophisticated vibe that many BTS fans may not appreciate. I love the retro feel, look and sound of "Love me Again". Taehyung was always going to go this way and I believe he has found the right balance between the 1940s jazz sound he loves and more contemporary sounds. I'm a huge music fan and most of the artists I follow rarely enter the mainstream charts but they still have a following and tour the world. So, keep going in this direction Taehyung, we look forward to hearing what comes next... 🤗

Dave, I agree with you in regard to V's promo so far. This is V's choice. He chose the head producer and the style of his album. I can't believe that ppl forgot the whole j-hope "not being promoted" being false. That was also j-hope's decision. Each of the members has his own idea on how he wants to express himself. Let's just support each one of them and stop all this hate.

Luv u Dave. This whole clip was gr8. I especially like two pionts you made in particular. One, that V's music is more niched than mainstream so the audience may be smaller and also that last comment you made, about the members, during this solo period, making music and content they otherwise would not get a chance to make. I believe V enjoyed making this album and I also believe he is having fun rolling it out his way. V has been my day one bias and as a fan I am enjoying every minute of V's album roll out. His songs are not commercial because they contain deep emotions. Moreover he has not used any female artist though his songs had a clear-cut margin for doing so but such songs capture the hearts so they are long lasting.

V has taken his time to give us his music wether it was making MVs for the 5 songs on his album I know there is also a bonus 6th track on the album I have seen both mv Love me Again so heartfelt but Rainy days has become my favourite already it sounds so smooth I could listen to it over and over there is a comfortable tone to the song it feels to me like being wrapped up in a blanket feeling cosy I appreciate the efforts he has made to give us the music he wanted to make💜

Taehyung chose an artistic route not the obvious commercial one. His choice and I applaud he wholeheartedly for it. Every genre has value, music is not an FMCG product like washing powder where units sold is the only measure of success. Come on people.

Pets are family, and it hurts when they leave us. (I SOBBED everyday for a month after I had to let my cat of 18 years go.). I also think Taehyung is giving his input about how his album should be promoted. His album isn’t out in full yet, but he has already given us 2 songs from it - what better promotion by himself can there be? This is so Taehyung’s style, and I’m so happy for him to finally show this side of him. >^.^

I personally love Rainy Days as well as Love you again. I’ve purchased both. ❤ watching the MVs Rainy Days is about fond memories of a past relationship. Totally agree Dave! Taehyung has always loved jazz and this was his chance, as you said, to do what he wants. I actually think that, although it's more pressure, V having the chance to do it his way with his vision is in some ways freeing. I'm not disputing his love for BTS or their songs but he does have a different personal preference musically. I'm happy he got to do it "his way", which Sinatra sang so eloquently. I agree that Tae is also likely more interested in the artistic value vs. exploding on the charts. It is just who he is. RM is the same in this aspect with his music and art. I'm just so happy and proud of what all the members have done with their solo work!!! Thanks!

i dont get why people thinks that V is completely under Hybe's control and has no say at all. If anything, i reckon It would be Hybe who might want V to be doing more but V may be the one saying no. I would assume Hybe would want to make more money than V himself. The whole thing is just so V- the songs, the clothes, no promotions, laid back no fuss kind of style, everything just screams V?? It's ok the videos have fewer views. Just enjoy the music for what it is and continue to love V in our own ways!

Your channel and you are always so straight talking. I love it. Taehung is definitely his own man. He does things his way. He's been an idol for a long time now he knows what he's doing, and this music and the mvs are showing his talents in everything he touches. The songs are beautiful, and his voice is too ❤

Every time I see the fans make comparisons between the solos of the members I’m like, “why”? We don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes maybe everyone decides how they want to do their thing. And to expect each of the members to have the same success is quite hypocritical, if we are not a fan of a song we are not, we will not pretend to love it and streaming it because we are an army

RIP Monie. It is so painful to lose a pet. I've had two dogs pass, one from old age and one from some unknown cause at the vet and both times were very painful. And for me with V's songs, I like that they're soothing and I tend to listen to them before I fall asleep as they are very soothing and they make good bedtime songs. Those songs plus my diffuser, my blue cloud LED light, and a cup of herbal tea make for a perfect good night sleep combo. Thanks for another great video, Dave.

I'm wondering why each time it's an issue dealing with Tae he's so quick to dismiss anything? This doesn't seem like a normal reaction or Kpop news channel anymore but more of a company support channel. I will always be on the guys side not the company and Tae was even saying he's searching online to get ideas of promoting from army. He is a artist but this is the same guy who promotes everything he does even if he has to do it himself on his IG so why wouldn't he want the company to promote him? People biases are showing even if they call themselves OT7's.

1) RM is too respectful to have done anything vulgar intentionally. It was probably just muscle memory from hours & hours of practice. 2) RIP Monie🙏💜 3) All of the members are very involved in their own promotions & every single one of them have had their fans complain about not getting any support from the other members & HYBE (& fans). Each one is promoting exactly the way they want (or as close as they can with budgets, etc). Get over it. 4) Just because the members haven't posted publicly doesn't mean they're not supporting V (or any other member for that matter. See #3) They do have private group texts, phones, etc to communicate their thoughts & support to each other not in the public eye. (Sorry - it's late & I'm tired of reading the *insert member's name here* is a victim comments). 5) Love each of these guys & can't wait to hear the rest of V's album (jazz is my first music love). He's so frickin' smooth! I've been so excited about each solo album & each one has surpassed my high expectations 💜. Love to you all 💜

It's not suprising to me that Tae is getting bad treatment for his solo, we all know by now who the company favors the most. Just look at how they treated Jimin, he barely got any promotion and no radio play but he has army behind him and has achieved a lot without the company helping. So we all know if we work together we can make Tae's solo achieve a lot to. Ignore the company and let's do everything we can to support them. 💜💜💜

You people need to grow up and see it from another perspective. Stop looking at the negative side all the time. Your negativity is what drives others insane in general. Each member is unique in their own way. Each one can bring anything and everything to the table as a group and obviously on their own. But you need to stop assuming for him as well. He's been working so hard for this, and instead of praising him, you just add up to the negative side. If the label were to be treating him unfairly, don't you think he'd be out of there like a long time ago? Think positive!!! Grow up, for they are grown up, too. Honestly I fell like V’s music videos are a vibe. They take one specific feeling as the focus. We’ve all had those moments where we are just quietly in thought and that’s the feeling they give me.

I don't know why people (mostly solos looking to create issues from non issues), do not understand this, that the boys at this time I literally not trying to stress themselves out. They are doing what they want to do at this time, creating what they want and promoting how they want. They are not looking to do some huge stress filled promotions for their music. They wanted to release these projects because these are projects they have wanted to do and likely couldn't in a group. It is not about the money or huge buzz because they already have that, they just want their projects out for fans and others to enjoy. Their projects will do well no matter what, Jimin's and RM's and J-hope's albums continue to do well despite whatever their solos were crying about because these are great music. And so is Taehyung's, I especially love rainy days and it actually makes me excited about the rest of the songs/album to come.

Totally agree that Tae has released the art (music & visuals) that HE wanted. This is why he decided NOT to work with the Bighit producers. Because he didn’t feel that they could bring to life his art or that bangpd would limit him. But Bravo to HYBE (lets face it they could have not allowed him to do R&B album) for giving Tae this freedom. Working with the Adora producers was more aligned with his vision. On his live he really seemed happy so Im happy for him. Besides both videos are amazing and both songs are beautiful.

V's initial promo sched dropped on the 8th. The first 2 MVs weren't a surprise and the 3rd is coming. But he also mentioned in his last live preferring low key promo to what Hybe did for the others. I trust V's doing the right promo for him.

Dave, your take on Taehyung's solo releases is the same as what I posted on Twitter in response to some ARMYs complaining about the fandom and Hybe/BigHit not promoting Tae's work, like they did Jung Kook's and Jimin's. I said that Taehyung is putting out music that isn't meant to be mainstream just to get views & likes. As a solo artist, that isn't his taste in music. I'm sure he expected it wouldn't get the same widespread response JK's song has. He knows the people, including many ARMYs, who enjoy the same type of music he is releasing will respond well to it and that is happening. Tae isn't one to change his solo music just to cater to trends. You can tell from his most recent Weverse live that he is extremely proud of what he's created and released and happy to finally be able to present the kind of music that speaks to his heart. I, for one, am in love with the songs he's released so far and can't wait for more! 💜🫶

@@sandrawright8632 I don't think Jimin had any desire for an international solo career and that's why he only promoted his album in S Korea (with the exception of the Jimmy Fallon Show). The korean shows he appeared on was also made available for international Army on KZfaq (with english subtitles). I believe that his album was first and foremost meant for Armys ears, but with the hopes that other people would like it too.

Taehyung songs are beautiful, but both are so sad, cause you don't want to think of him having to beg someone to love him. Cause that's not true, if someone doesn't want him there's plenty of people who do. Would i prefer a more upbeat song yes, but thats not the point. The point is no one is going to love every song on a CD. BUT loving Taehyung and supporting him. That's what's important. Like he said he's finally putting out what he wants to and they are both beautiful. RM so sorry about your dog, pets are like your babies too. idk but the timing and roll-out of V's solo venture seemed ill-conceived and rushed. It felt he was pressured to release it right away. I felt sorry for him as he deserved much better than this. I just hope it wont discouraged him but instead challenge him.

That definitely was RM's dog passing on because when I was watching his live I seen it in his eyes he was upset about something and I know people Taehyung solo album is based on his music taste and style every song it's not for everyone and that's okay but personally I enjoy Love me again had a Lo-Fi beat and Rainy Days had a relaxing feel to it
