As someone who has lived half their life in America and half their life in Asia, I’m going to give it to everyone straight here: in Asia, drinking, smoking, and “hooking up” is not seen as as much of a big deal as it is in western countries. Kids run away from home, at least in Japan school is only mandatory up through middle school. A lot of kids lose their virginity in middle school.
