We got word at Mass this past Sunday that the Vatican gave our Archdiocese of San Antonio permission to continue celebrating the Latin Mass for 2 more years! Praise God from whom all blessings flow.

Any prelate banning the TLM should be visited by St Michael the Archangel ❤🙏

Anyone who thinks praying the Rosary during Mass is not participating in the Mass better study up on the Mass and the mysteries of the Rosary! They have everything to do with each other!!!

We as a society have sold out to the world. The ""modern church" has downgraded the beauty of the old catholicism. When we lived more simply,we looked forward to the feast day's of the Saints as a day of celebration and gathering in Christian friendship. Many of these feast days are no longer remembered by many Catholics.

The official language of the Roman Catholic Church is and has always been LATIN, doesn't it? Are we then denying our Church identity? Imagine Muslims prohibited praying in Arabic!? Or Jewish people stop praying in Hebtew!??

There is a traditional Latin mass being said at the Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis. Unless that changes.

Whatever happens it's extremely unfortunate and sad that there are those in the Vatican who regard the two thousand year old Traditional Latin Liturgy as an enemy to be conquered..

Saint Peter lived in Rome and was martyred there. I wonder what language did he speak when there? Didn't Romans speak Latin? An in order to reach Roman Christians, what language would Peter have spoken? Latin of course. And it would have been in Latin that he would have celebrated the Eucharist there. So what is the problem with the Latin Mass? It was brought down to us, even into my lifetime in, what I perceive to have been an unbroken line. So it links us back to Peter, and through him to Our Lord Himself. While not wishing to abolish Mass in the vernacular, I am appalled by the thought that a successor of Peter could/would wish to break that very precious link. Precious firstly because of the link back to the apostles, martyrs and to Jesus himself through Peter. It is a treasure of the Church, and its importance cannot be overstated. Throughout the ages the scholars and saint knew and loved it, but now it has been relegated to a secondary role, whereas it should be loved and honoured, for it contains the history of our faith, and is the most accessible sign of what gives that faith its signa;validity though Latin's unbroken line down to our own times. Any Pope who breaks that line is no successor to Saint Peter, does no honour to the martyrs in Rome, and is engaging in the protestantising of Peter's and Jesus' flock!

My TLM priest has often said it was okay to pay the rosary during Mass. Our grandmothers did this a lot. One time, I was even instructed to pray the rosary during the Mass for penance.

Since coming to the TLM a year ago, I've found myself more actively engaged with the Liturgy than ever before... prayerfully, mentally, physically. Modernists dont understand nor want to.

It is now after 2:30 PM Rome time and nothing so far. This does not rule out that it could drop on a later date.

Yes, a Pope IS bound by prior Papal "de Fide" Magisterial Teachings. The Code of Canon Law *never* supersedes Magisterial Teaching, period. It is merely to codify all in one place, both Magisterial Teachings and the disciplines of the Church _as they apply to the Teachings and to members of the Faith._ To some degree, it is binding, but only the disciplines can change with each Pope...never, ever the Teachings. Even then, not at a mere Papal whim, but only for the strengthening of the Faithful, can Disciplines be changed. I'm sure the TLM-haters hold that the Bull, Quo Primum, is somehow not Magisterial in nature. Well, I for one, disagree. Yes. Yes, it is.

Pope Leo XIII in a document recommended praying the rosary during Mass. The modernists first claimed Quo Primum was not really dogma because they argued the Mass is a disciple and not a doctrine of faith or morals. But Trent said in a dogma that an apostolic Rite with a capital R, could not be replaced with an all new Rite with a capital R. That is indeed a matter of faith and morals, and is now dogma, because popes have a moral obligation to pass down what they received. Trent also ended the creating of new secondary liturgies like the Dominican liturgy which cannot be banned with a dogma. They could have lifted that ban and created a secondary use liturgy leaving the TLM as the ordinary form of the Roman Rite, but they cannot censure priests who offer the TLM, or the faithful who attend them. The New Novel Rite does not fit the definition of a secondary use liturgy, it's a new Rite with a capital R and is thus it is illicit and schismatic and we are experiencing a material schism in the Church because of it! The very nature of a dogma is that a pope is binding all Catholics at the present moment and in the future including all future popes! Anything less is just a discipline! That the faithful Catholics and Catholic theologian cannot figure out what is Catholic teaching unless it is on the level of dogma only. Is why modernists are in triumph, they are telling you, you can ignore the lower levels of the magisterium. They are telling you, you cannot act unless it is dogma, even when it's already infallible doctrine. The magisterium is not the rule of faith, scripture and tradition are the Catholic rules of faith, we can know the faith and act on it, when it's not yet part of the magisterium. They are telling you, you cannot learn from scripture and tradition, only from the top level of the magisterium, then they are claiming the top level of the magisterium is not really the top level! Is it prudent for the Catholic media to act like modernists are correct when they engage in false accusations and intentional confusion? Stop paying the modernists at their phony toll booths, and throw the books at them!

The Dogmatic Constitution of the Church, Lumen Gentium, did redefine he Church, replacing the “est”, the one Church of Christ IS the Roman Catholic Church, to the Church of Christ “subsistit in” the Roman Catholic Church. That is a change in the nature of the Church, every bit as heretical as saying the Sonnis of like substance rather than the same substance. So it became a different Church & the pope affirming the dogmatic constitution became a heretic in authoritatively pronouncing it.

No TLM, break away could happen.

When you sell out to satan/the world, the best you can obtain is hell. The best. Praying for these poor sons who have such low sights & plans during their short earthly gift of life, exchanging with excitement gold for dust.

My diocese has a social media ban (ie: a Taylor Marshall ban, but they don't want to admit it) for seminarians, and I absolutely believe it came from the Vatican. I've seen several of our seminarians at the TLM, and on occasions Diocesan officials. If it weren't for the Vatican's hostility towards the TLM I honestly think they'd be fine with it. Our previous bishop treated it no differently than a Spanish or Polish Mass. So long as it produced good fruit he didn't care, and I suspect his successor would be the same way. This was the only parish that grew during the lockdowns, though we have shrunk significantly since the Mass ban rumors started flying. Already there are noticeable gaps in the pews.
