Rumple & Belle || It's far easier to hate a Dark One than it is to love one [+5x19] [TCVC]

"We are just wasting time trying to prove who is right."
I made this video for the TCVC Round 2. We should vid the opposite of things. I decided to go with it on different levels.
First of all the main topic is love vs. hate. I know it is not very creative. I took a deeper a look into Rumbelles relationship and it seems to be a rollercoaster ride between love and hate.
They argue and make up basically all the time, but the arguing part (which is very often quite funny) is not vidded very often.
The second topic was actually characters. Rumple and Belle are most of the time quite the opposite of each other. He is the cowardly but powerful Dark One, while she is the brave but "weak" bookworm.
The last topic I decided to go with was simply Color vs. Blach/White. Sadly the coloring does not show it as much as it did in Vegas but on the left everything is bright and colorful, while on the right there is only blach & white.

Love it. Perfect election of the song... It's funny how wonderful videos you do with the brief scenes that they have had this season and taking also into account the way the creators are treating this couple.

The song fits their relationship very well. As much as I respect Belle, I've been extremely frustrated w/ her. She said she'd never stop fighting for him, that she'd never give up. Yet, whenever he slips, even in the slightest of ways, that's exactly what she does. When they have one of their breakups, it's okay for her to say goodbye & leave. But if he's the one to say goodbye, she gets upset. She's always told him to be more confident in himself, but now that he's finally found that acceptance of himself & his magic, she's bailed. So much contradiction. I don't know how to reconcile it all.

Danielle Musella The creators just like to cause unnecessary drama for the couple because they think it gives them more views... I wish Rumbelle would get their own house somewhere in Storybrooke or go travel and be left ALONE to finally BE happy! They deserve it more than anyone, Regina a close second. They just keep Rumple in the mix because he's the only smart one in SB and he has to fix everything they mess up or face. Poor guy deserves a break.

They wonder why the "evil" characters have a hard time, getting themselves on the right track. It's because they have little-to-no support. No one calls Rumple or Zelena to come over for coffee, to watch a movie, etc. They only go to those two when they want something, or if there's some incident that's easily blamed on them (even if they didn't do it). You can't expect a person to make a turn-around all on their own. They need friends to help them out.

Danielle Musella Ah, I'm glad someone else feels the same way I do about that. They call Rumple evil and when he tries to change no one cares. Its so sad and he deserves better. I mean, with everything he's been through, can you really blame him for wanting to be the Dark One? His power made him feel safe and in control when he lost his wife and his son and spent decades alone before Belle. I would want a crutch if it gave me some relief after losing everything I loved. Even more so when Hook is CONSTANTLY going after Belle to hurt Rumple in season 2. He has his magic to protect Belle, sure he goes a little overboard but again can't blame him when he's lost everything before. When you have something, you dont let it go because good things don't just come around.
