Luna was very wise for her age. She had accepted herself and didn't choose to get angry or thoughts of vengeance when she was bullied. She always chose to stay with her friends no matter what. Most adults are not this stable mentally. I admire her so much.

Thank you! I felt the same way but you know Rowling couldn't leave the girl next door without the boy that she had been pinning for years alone. I was really disappointed in this. People said she was too strange too be with the hero. That really hurt me inside because of my life experience and I could relate to her but in the end like real life beauty and popularity wins in the end.

Luna is based on Evanna Lynch. Rowling met her as a fan, in hospital when she was very ill, and wrote the character around her.

I do wish we got to see more of Ginnies and Lunas friendship in the movies. I hate the way everyone treats Luna in the books, especially Hermione. Not because she treats her the worst, but because I'd expect her to know better after the way she was treated for being muggle born. Luna was such a beautiful character, who could get through too and understand Harry, in a way that basically no other character could

Luna was one of the few people who truly understood Harry I feel like. Their relationship in the movies is very supportive and sweet, and he really needed someone like Luna at that time.

Two of my favourite lines are *”Harry Potter you listen to me right now!”* - I love how sweet, calm but also very strict Luna was all at the same time! Another is *”You’re just the same as I am”* even Evanna said that whoever she said that too must have been very disturbed 😹 Luna is my favourite character and I wish that her and Dobby could have had some more time together, they would have been the greatest duo in all of Harry Potter!! 😹😹 I love how Harry is so nice to her when he said *“I am ur friend Luna!”* And when he took her as his partner to Slughorn’s party. Luna is so cute and so unique, Harry Potter wouldn’t had been as funny or the same without her 💙

Luna had one of the most tragic backstories ever. She witnessed her mother's death as a nine-year-old girl - old enough for that memory to be engraved into her mind forever- and still managed to be so positive and sweet. When she told Harry about her mother dying, and she looked on the brightside, 'I still have Dad, you know.' Luna deserved so much better.

*HP fact:* Evanna Lynch had an eating disorder at about 11 years old! she wanted to be skinny I think but I find that shocking since the same happened to me, (I didn’t get an eating disorder because I wanted to be skinny but I won’t go into it) another reason for me and Evanna to be quite alike. Evanna was in and out of hospital and JK Rowling sent many messages to Evanna to comfort her and give her confidence to keep eating and keep up her good work in acting. She recovered luckily but I still find it quite shocking.

I love Luna Lovegood because she's so beautiful, cute, sweet and supportive of all her friends. She's not afraid to be herself and doesn't care about what others think of her. Many of us are like Luna and can relate to her. Luna is an inspiration to all and teaches us that we should not afraid to be ourselves and to be brave and not care about what others think of us and to stay true to ourselves.

I think the reason why both Harry and Luna can hear the voices behind the veil is not because they have seen death - if you remember well, Ginny is also strongly attracted by the veil. I think it is because they have gone through really difficult times (as did Ginny when she was possessed by Voldemort), they have known depressive states, they both felt, at some point of their lives, an attraction towards death, some kind of a death wish.

I personally think by the time she was entering her fifth year in Hogwarts a part of her growing magical powers was turning into sixth sense or even turning into mind reading legitimacy power , she have a great emotional intelligence related to people around her and she was probably the only person who actually knew ( Harry ) in his Polyjuice disguise and knew when he " didn't want to talk to her and her father but was so polite to say so "

As someone who's always been bullied and never had many friends because people always think I'm weird, Luna taught me to love myself unabashedly. She's a wonderful character, perhaps my favorite character in fiction.

I've kniwn a few girls like Luna, doing things their own way, having interests that other people don't have, being usually lonely and bullied mercilessly because they are "weirdos" who say "weird things". Even if they find friends they perhaps attach themselves too strongly which causes further rejection and accusations of "trying too hard".

I was only recently aware of this Chanel land was ecstatic to see this video. My favorite character in the Harry Potter series is Luna lovegood. I feel she is often under appreciated, but is a very uplifting person that helps many people through hard times as you mentioned. Luna is a character I simply envy because of her ability to not care one bit what other people think of her but still be really considerate of other. Thank you for this amazing video.

Yeah these are Greek words! Xenos (Ξένος) which means stranger, and filos (Φίλος) which means friend (or lover if this word is combined with another word, like in this case)

I been thinking that "man, luna is definitely the other newt scamander" When i finally saw that she actually married newt's grandson, i was like "oh, she had became a scamander" Now her name is luna scamander, that has a nice touch to it

Is Rolf Newt's biological grandson or his great nephew by marriage and Newt had adopted Rolf's father after his biological parent's death and kept the Scamander part of his original double last name. I do think that Rolf is Newt's biological grandson and comes from that branch.

Luna makes me enormously proud to be Ravenclaw. When each house is represented as a protagonist in Harry Potter media except ravenclaw, she holds up as an inspiration who gives light to so many. Without her Harry would have failed, and no one can convince me otherwise. 💙🧡🦅
