A world-class athlete sets himself up for success very early in his career, but his life outside of athletics and an abrupt end to his career, would cement him as one of the most polarizing figures the track and field scene has seen in years.

Your compilation is below Average, You just compile based on your imagination to suit what you believe in and how you want to impose an ending. Instead of trying to find out if the so called lab analysis were done correctly and the essence of the said targeted test. I have always Claimed innocent and Nothing will ever change that. It's the testers who made a fool of the all World and Hurt my Talent.

While I concede the fact that I don't have access to exact laboratory numbers/protocols, I do believe they used the proper tools to differentiate between exogenous and endogenous EPO, and that the sample was transported and analyzed properly too. However, I do acknowledge that a company like WADA/AIU has a documented history of sketchy practices, but in this particular instance, there's no reason for me to believe that you didn't use rEPO. I do believe though, that it *is* a possibility you were target tested given the obscenely close dates in testing (in November out of all months too). There seems to be this ongoing notion still that it's *only* Kenyan/East African athletes who dope and that athletes from there should be tested *more* often than other countries, which is a disingenuous approach in my opinion and facilitates corrupt practices (as seen in your own case) Overall, I have no ill will against you personally to ever propose a specific narrative. I am confident in my assessment of your career based off of my research and the facts presented to me, but if you wish to cement my findings as subpar, than I respect your opinion entirely.

If you don't believe the so called labs sometimes make errors on EPO readings, at least learn from Australia's Peter Bol case. It's only that I didn't get any scientist to go and challenge during the analysis of the Sample B. I understand they keep those Samples and if they are transparent enough they'd have done more research on it. But understand they can't amit liability. Thanks.

This was a rollercoaster of a documentary. Kiprop’s story throughout most of the video seemed to be a hopeful and heartwarming one with his rise in the running world, but ultimately turned out to be a really sad and depressing one with such a harsh downfall.

Thank you for making such in depth videos about a sport that really deserves and needs more videos like this, especially of this quality! Track and Field is a beautiful sport, thank you for representing it to an audience that is bound to grow soon! Keep up the good work!

yoooo thank you for making this video. Kiprop is a fascinating individual I remember following his antics as they were unfolding. Surely he was doped to the gills, but his WC performances were iconic and with his long stride he was a true freak of nature. When he was making tweets defending himself when he was caught doping, I replied to some of his posts supporting him and he seemed to appreciate it (lmao)

He was such a beautiful runner to watch. Shame what he became. My theory is that he turned to PEDs after not winning a single race in 2017 and failing to come to terms with his new status as a declining athlete.

From what I understand, the results that are nullified begin from the date of the sample that tested negative (not when they were handed their ban). So if a urine sample from *after* the 2016 Olympics tested positive, any results from the London Olympics and before would *not* be disqualified as a result. Since Kiprop tested positive in late 2017, no race results can be considered DQ'able.

As someone who wasn't familiar with Kiprop, it was a HUGE whiplash once the doping scandal came along. Like you said, he had the chance to overcome it, but instead he threw away his career and legacy in the trash bin.

What if Mburu, the assistant doping control officer, let Kiprop know when each test was coming so that he could demand a sum of money from Kiprop in exchange for reporting the test as negative? Then, when Mburu reported the test as positive, it was because Kiprop only paid him 25 bucks.

Lmfao he was on gear his entire career since teenage years, that’s just how it goes in top level running. You just hope you don’t get caught, but if you do, at least have enough balls to just say ”yeah you got me” and move on with your life. It is the (quite sad) game everyone who wants to win at top level is forced to play since it’s humanly impossible to be clean and to be better than those who are dirty. And we all know how many runners are busted each year. Why do they come up with all the excuses and explanations in the world then (burritos, sabotage, spoiled meat, contamination via kissing, testosterone boosts from rough s3x etc.)? My guess is because it feels very unfair to be singled out as a dishonest athlete in the world’s eyes when you know for a fact that everyone around you does the exact same thing. And of course, legacy and reputation is on the line, but let’s be honest, those are gone from the minute the news of a violation breaks.
