Dropped you a sub, I recently added a SMG-8 GBB by WE to my collection, been after one for a while I really wanna run it in winter so this video helped a lot, because of its compact size it's perfect to use inside buildings and clearing rooms can peek corners navigate tight areas with it and the thing is a beast just winter and colder temps is an asshole lol

Thank you it would be awful as there are so many people from all walks of life and ages that enjoy the sport. I have never been so active in talking to our political representives as I have over the last few months. Hopefully they will see that this action against airsoft will resolve any of the violence with actual fire arms and the criminals that use them in crimes.

Nice video, touched on all bases! I’m curious have you much experience with silicone buckings? I’ve been curious as to their performance. I know how well buckings work can depend on your barrel/hop combo, but have you found them to help in cold weather? How about in warmer weather do they still perform well? Will have to pick one up and try it but curious your thoughts if you don’t mind expanding on your experience with them. Thanks for all the vids!

Thanks for the support 😊 So my experience is limited so far, I can confirm they do indeed hop BBs, I've only tried up to .32s but lifted them with ease. It's going to be hard to compare to the rubber alternative directly but I'm going to try and get something more concrete for people soon. I'd say for the cost of the silicon ones it's worth a go, I understand the theroy I just need to test the practice!

Do you want to enjoy gbbr at sub-zero temperature? The answer to that is 410A refrigerant gas. This gas has a very strong pressure even at low temperatures, so I filled it up and used gbbr in harsh snowy winters. (410a gas provides a very strong pressure that should never be used in spring, summer, and autumn)

Would the stock rubber be okay? I played last weekend and struggled to get through mags, was rotating them where possible even got some hand warmers which helped! Going to get some better ones that will hopefully help even more. Which green gas do you use? I only had Ultra Air to hand which might not have helped 😅
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft Жыл бұрын
Ultra air is t bad but anything more powerful will help. Any black gas will be fine or propalene if you're feeling dangerous. Gun will be fine. A silicone bucking will do better in the cold and they're cheap and easy to fit so a great upgrade

Have you tried running your TM MP7 in the winter? If so, what gas do you run yours on? I was suffering from some serious cooldown with mine yesterday (I'd get about 5/10 shots off before it would act like there was no gas even though the mag is still full). Im currently running mine on duster gas because I chrono'd at home at room temp (thank you for all the knowledge man)
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 9 ай бұрын
Is your gas the same temperature as your mags? That can have a massive factor on filling the mags so they get through all the shots. But in winter I just use green gas and make sure there isn't any thick lubricants on the moving parts. Basically give it a clean.

@@OllieTalksAirsoft The gas bottle ended up being a lot warmer than the mags because I was storing it inside so that was probably it! I (wrongly) thought that keeping the gas warmer than the mags was the way to go. Cheers Ollie

Do you think the Marui is underpowered outdoors given that you can only use green gas? Im considering going for a GHK with co2 mags to help with weather conditions but you seem to do fine... How does the Marui on green compare to other guns on red or black gas? If you dont mind sharing your thoughts or any experience you have Id be grateful...Thanks. (EDIT-Oh you use black gas in winter, I see...have you had any breakages and also Im assuming red/black gas voids the warranty right?)
@OllieTalksAirsoft
@OllieTalksAirsoft 2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure using green gas would technically void the warranty so it nothing I've really thought about. You can run a stock mws on Guarder black/propalene with the only part to break usually being the nozzle return spring, which is cheap and easy to replace. Thing about MWS is it's like a hi-capa and you can mod it extensively if you wish and get any variation you want, there's even a 9mm Glock mag adaptor!. But the focus with TM is on shooting performance, the GHKs are very nice replicas but I know their QC has suffered in recent years as badabing pointed out in one of his videos.

I appreciate a few tidbits of knowledge that I gained from watching the video. There were some things I did not take into consideration, such as choosing a hop rubber made from a different material for winter months, as well as the suggestion of mag rotation/handwarmers for keeping mags warm. That being said, I think the video was rather meandering and disorganised. It did not explain as much as I believe it should for shooting GBBRs in cold conditions. I'd like to make some reccomendations for improvement. Not entirely necessary, but I would start with a section of what a new user should expect for GBBs in the winter (lower fire rate, lower power, more severe mag cooldown from full auto fire). Remember to explain more niche GBB terms like 'light striking', which I personally had to look up to understand what you meant. You should mention an important fact that higher power gases (red/black) have less silicone in them so they will not self lubricate the replica as well as green gas does, and will require a bit more cleaning/lube before and after game days. Lastly, do not try to make it in one take and write at least a bullet point script. You will be able to provide higher quality commentary if you do this. You'll be able to create a more concise length video, likely also improving your video watch percentage.

Thanks for getting a video out on my suggestion so quickly! Ok so the takeaways from this videos are: 1. Lighten the internals in your gbbr (bolts and bolt weights/buffers/springs/short stroke?) 2. Use Guarder black on colder days [_c?] (excluding stock TM pistols) 3. Give your GBBR a clean (and make sure you use low thickness/high lubricity lube) 4. Less gung ho on the trigger 5. Use a Softer/Silicon bucking 6. Try to route your pouches so they are closer to your body heat I also go ahead and acknowledge that yes, your idea about the Marui AK running well is probably right, given why the New 15mm BBU TM pistols work very well in the winter even on green. that's it I think! I'll add more if anyone has any thanks!

You explained that better than I did 😃 you got it! If I do think of anything else I'll be sure to keep you posted ☺️ Oh actually, Guarder black gas is basically propalene, which is cheaper but smellier 👍
