That’s a real bummer really sad and I feel so so sad even replying but I love y’all Disney trips I’m guessing they won’t be in yours or #tylertravelstv I’m going to miss that. As a Registered Dietitian (in about a month lol) your salad combo makes me so happy! It’s filling because it’s packed with protein from the chicken, nuts/seeds, eggs; carbs from the dried cranberries and honey mustard, fat in the dressing and egg yolk, and fiber from edamame and veggies! And don’t let anyone come for you for the honey mustard, because the fat in that helps you absorb the fat soluble vitamins in the vegetables 😅

Your comment about GG takes on “Fancy” Mom at daycare; I was that Mom, but I worked at a law firm and had to get up and get ready earlier so we could ALL get out of the house on time. I always wanted to be the Mom you described yourself as, but I did not have the luxury of working from home 30 years ago. It sounded like you were a bit hurt about GG’s comment and I wanted to tell you that GG will not remember saying that, she is 5/6 so please don’t even think about it. Mom’s who work outside the home are doing what they have to, just like you! You are setting examples for your girls that are invaluable, so please give yourself grace and remember that!

I resented my mom when I was young because she was not a SAHM, but in my 20s, I'm 36 now, I realized how hard she worked to create a life for me and how much she influenced me. I am so proud of her. It's partly because of my mom that I went back to school and got a masters degree and it's the reason I wouldn't give up until I got my dream job working for the federal government. Working moms are an inspiration, in any outfit.

I would stick with the black dress and dont even bother looking! I love just simple black with like a bolder, long gold earring or something. Its classy and versatile and especially since youre traveling, it doesnt look like itll take up too much room. Youll definitely be able to get use out of it again too! I agree...no to velvet for a summer wedding!

Do you remember the tea box and the food box her and Tyler would open together and try the snacks from different countries I loved those videos and wanted those boxes toooo😂 I’ll always remember when I started to follow Jess since it was during my divorce at 23 years old in 2013-2014 she literally gave me sanity and took my mind off a rough time

I used to *have to be ready* when I went anywhere (even the dang mailbox) because I lacked the confidence to go barefaced. It’s something that I’m working on as I get older, to be more comfortable in my skin. As weird as it may sound, I’m envious of women who don’t feel they need to be “fancy” to go and do what they need to do. ❤

I started wearing makeup to work everyday about 1-2 years ago (I'm in my 40s). I get up at 4:45, get showered, dressed, and morning skincare before waking the kids. Once they are off to the bus I have another hour for face and hair. If my 5yrs ago self heard that she would have laughed in my face. But, my youngest is 8, so a little more independent. I used to be 10+ hours of sleep a night where now I typically sleep 5-6 and feel great. It's weird how things change...

Jessica, Portuguese girly here 🙋🏻‍♀ usually European weddings, even the most casual and regular ones, are pretty formal and people dress up a lot, wearing real party clothes. So if you're going to a Black Tie one, don't be afraid to go all out and choose a more formal or "out there dress", or really accessorize a more simple one. Enjoy your trip 🥰

Ms. Jessica, you would not go wrong with either the black dress our that dark green teal one. The teal would flatter your coloring & look stunning with Mr. Tyler matching it in accessories like a tie & pocket square orhandkerchief. One of my very favorite "fast" make up products is the Tarte Blush Tape Liquid blush. It has a super pretty glow, is fresh looking, and can be used on the eye lid too for a fast color. I use this stuff obsessively(tap it on with my finger) on my 5 minute make up days, usually weekends. A tinted moisturizer, the Tarte liquid blush on cheeks and eye lid, and a bit of mascara and lip gloss.

I love your book chats! I don’t currently have a book club, so it’s nice to get opinions and suggestions from you. For my 5 min makeup, I do sunscreen, because of course (and use that as my moisturizer), stick foundation, concealer or color corrector or both depending on how broken out I am, a medium dark eyeshadow stick or cream just blended on top of the hood of my eye, blush, mascara, and lip gloss. If I want to be really fast I use my sweet grandma’s trick of using lipstick also as blush. She’d apply it on her lips, then tap her fingers between lips and cheek, and laugh and say, “that’s my beauty secret”. Bless her heart, even at her nursing home in her 90s, she wanted to look nice. But one time her vision and cognition had dimmed, and she was putting on her brows with the pencil upside down in her hand. 🥺❤️ Tryin’ to be fancy.

My niece just did her screening, and you're excatly right. They take them in a room and have them do work to test their knowledge. They do that so they know what classroom to place the child in. Essentially, they place the kids based on their knowledge.

Love all your content! Books, recipes, and clothing are probably my favorite topics that you cover, and I also love hearing the little parenting tidbits you throw in. I think I found your channel last year through one of your baby registry videos, when I was pregnant and registering for our little girl. Now I never miss your or Tyler's videos! I would love to know where you get more of your everyday clothing - especially all the cute henley and thermal style tops you've been wearing these past few months! And have you ever checked out JJ's House for formal dresses? I've been really happy with their custom sizing, their selection is HUGE, and they're in the same price range as Lulu's. Finally watching rest of this video, I couldn’t help watch Pinocchio’s reactions when you started talking dresses 😆 the yawn too, too cute and funny. I loved that portion of the video btw - was just funny how he was giving this is not my jam vibes. Btw think the black dress with really fancy up do hair and plain no colour makeup but strong black liner which you do nicely and emphasize your lips as you are someone that looks good in all lipsticks could be fantastic and striking not boring at all.

I read Four Seasons in Rome years ago and loved it. I was single with no kids. But I had been to Rome twice, and was in a major ‘travel memoir’ phase. I have actually read it a couple of times ❤. For the wedding guests dress, I think the second teal one is beautiful. But the first black one is the best choice imo. Just bring some great jewelry and be sure to bring a black shawl!

I really love the Necessaire body serum, body lotion and hand cream. I could use another Body serum which I forgot to get in the Sephora sale! Orchid is your color, Jessica. That top is beauriful on you. Ok... A silent book review? I would love that!! I'm now very intrigued by the Lisa Jewell book. Psychological thrillers is a favorite genre' of mine. My heart melted when I saw Pinocchio's little paw on the bed pillow. The the camera angle moved and there was all of him! Sweet boy! 💙 Both black dresses you showed are so pretty and would be perfect for a black tie event. I can "see" you in both but the short one with tulle skirt "is you!". Granted it wouldn't be easy to pack and may be so "squished" that it wouldn't look like the picture once unpacked 🤷🏼 I do love it though.

Hi Jess, I really enjoy your Vlogs, A lot of variety in topics, interesting, informative. Keep them coming! I love the black dress, simply elegant, easy travel and many options for accessories. A cute lite weight sheer type little shrug or wrap would look nice with it as well if ceremony is in A church and some coverage is required or if outdoors at night reception. I also like the one with the top scrunchie detailing. You will look beautiful in any of them though. I am going to read the Lisa Jewel book, looks interesting. I love your recipes, book talks and shopping hauls! Macy’s has a ton of special occasion dresses, very prom heavy right now in my area, but plenty of other choices too. I went last weekend looking for formal dinner dress for a cruise, and there were a ton of choices. I love the ones you ordered, though!

I went to a wedding in Greece last year and I would say make sure you have access to a steamer there or can buy one. Pretty sure you can’t bring a steamer from the U.S. bc it requires high wattage and won’t work well or may break even with an adapter or converter. Not sure if I totally explained that right but my dad’s an electrical engineer and told us not to bring one. Hope you have a fab time, love the black dress!

I definitely recommend Baltic Born for wedding appropriate dresses! I was nervous cause it’s an online boutique, but they are really well made and super pretty and there’s so many color/style options.

The glossier concealer is my favorite of all time!! They reformulated it some time ago and it used to have my PERFECT shade match and that color doesn’t exist anymore, but I’ve found something close and it’s still my favorite

I was really struggling with finding a dress for a black tie wedding as well, and I ended up going to Bloomingdale’s. I tried on a dress that I never would have thought was a good option and loved it on! There really is a benefit to in -person dress shopping.
