Thanks for naming the chords as your were playing them, a lot of the Open G teachers just show you what they are playing but don't attach names to chords

I'm laughing here because I just ran across your feed for the first time and I have a Larrivee OM3 that I keep tuned to open F (it suits my baritone better than open G) and one of my other main gits is a Breedlove AC25. I'd love to see the rest of your quiver! And not for nothing, the main reason I ever started using this particular open tuning was to get my arms around Gregg Allman's acoustic version of Come and Go Blues. The song was first released in 1973 on the Brothers and Sisters album and I'm not aware of any solo acoustic performance of the song by Gregg until several years after that, but I've always imagined it was something he may have been working on much earlier, possibly even during his time as Jackson's roommate before the formation of ABB. It's certainly always struck me as a song heavily influenced more by the singer songwriter genre than the traditional blues from which most ABB material was derived.

Now detune the 6th string to C Jackson used a CGDGBD tuning for the acoustic version

Tune that E string down to C it sound better with a fatter bottom end.

Ive experimented with open g for a long time and can tune my guitar to it no prob. Id like to see videos that jump right to the song without the extra time explaining how to tune. Am i asking too much?

Jackson tunes his low E down to C.

It’s open G with low E tuned to C. So some of your chord fingerings are incorrect.

All guitar lessons I don’t care what song it is should start with the song being played all the way through otherwise it’s basically for total beginners only. Nobody with any experience is gonna sit through all that first.
