Here I was able to run 2 separate times at Greeley’s Colorado Model Railroad Museum. In 2 separate trips, I was able to get to run my trains on the layout in cooperation with the Museum Director. I brought the locos, and head end equipment such as the bottles and UPP 9336, the passenger cars/trains were the museum’s.
Many thanks to the Museum for the opportunity. I highly encourage everyone to get out and visit the Museum.
First train. UP 844, a reworked and detailed Broadway Limited loco that I fixed. Upgraded the sound to SoundTraxx Tsunami2, and added many details and more lights, including firebox and running lights. UP 1943 accompanies the 844 as a Dynamic Braking unit. Also equipped with a Tsunami2 decoder, I enabled a “straight to idle” feature so the Diesel engine stayed in idle, and was only used for braking. UPP 9336 is a kitbashed model made from 2 Atlas Berwick boxcars to match the prototype that the UP accidentally wrecked a few years ago.
Second train is the UP 844 and 1943, but now accompanied by the UP 3985, an Athearn model that has also received a Tsunami2, LEDs and many lights, details and fill engine crew.
Enjoy as these legends of the Union Pacific ravel together in model form.
