An inside look at the Pompey squad's second day in Spain, as they completed their first football session of the camp.
It was an early morning for the boys with a run at 7am, before they were put through their paces by John Mousinho and his staff.
They rounded off the day with a light gym session, completing a range of exercises in small groups.

Couple of players saying didn't do much in the session then Morrell talking about knowing what a good session is, maybe I'm reading too much into it 🧐 but training a bit simple??

Well it's the first couple days so it's more about getting conditioning. Some teams do more football this time of year but injuries have plagued us a lot. Nice to see passing drills going and us working on the basics, Cowley's tried making things very complicated and I think it really didn't suit the types of players we have in the squad. So I wouldn't read much into this tbh.

Pre season is all about getting back up to a decent level after a break. Cant go straight in on the first few sessions as it will screw you when season comes. Love this kind of content though. Need it throughout the season

Yep, don't pay attention to any drills or results in Preason unless there are any absolute drubbings. All we care about is fitness and getting used to each other with the new faces.
