Love both videos! I'm an over analyser and heavy breather. I'm also an "always hot"/under-dresser, and will wear a vest top and shorts in the middle of winter and make everyone else feel cold, always dramatically wiping my forehead and pouring water over my head while running even when it's under 15 degrees C and love running in the snow. Another type is the "grimacing runner" who always appears to be in terrible pain/discomfort but assures everyone they love running. Another type is the event lover, who will make sure to attend every race they can possibly access, and even go to Parkrun first too on the same day.

I am a down-player about being passed! I'm also a type you didn't mention: the excuser (mainly to myself). First of all I do the down-playing if I can't keep up with an overtaker, then I start on the excuses : I am older/shorter/female/tired/hungry, etc. Of course, if none of the excuses apply, then we were running for different reasons! There's always some excuse that works.

The Judgy-Judge. This is a runner who has an impressive average pace and considers slower runners unworthy of their company. Thankfully, this type of runner is uncommon (I’ve only met two in ten years), as members of the running community are supportive and inspiring toward each other!
@Marco-yz3hs5 жыл бұрын
Depends on the situation, but it is understandable if a faster runner would like to train alone, as running too slowly will not really improve their fitness. They should be nice about it though and not downplay your ability
@laurarusso94245 жыл бұрын
Marco Lopez-Smith that is true, I suppose.
@WatcherofVideosSometimes5 жыл бұрын
It's not necessarily that they're judging. Personally I tend to average around 6:30-7:30 pace on a long run depending on a variety of factors, if you asked me to come with you averaging 9 minutes per mile I'd say no because that pace wouldn't benefit me personally. Likewise if someone wanted me to come with them averaging 5:30 pace I'd say no as it's too hard :-(
@laurarusso94245 жыл бұрын
