The greatest achievement of Mr Rupert Spira is not that he is one of the few that possesses all this amazing knowledge but mainly the fact that he has actually found a subtle an unique way to literally pass it to us.

These philosophical speculations are well constructed sophisms to fit the philosophical-religious doctrines of Rupert and others. The reality is that no one knows who and what God is. To say that He is Being, Consciousness, and we are one with Him would mean that we know from birth, as a pre-programmed instinct, who we are, what mitochondria or DNA is and how it works, and so on. But the Hindu religion, like other religions, has found "excuses": God sleeps through us and dreams, DNA or mitocondria is a dreamed illusion :) until God / we wake up and become aware and enlightened in/from this dream, etc. Let us then ask the great and enlightened gurus who have attained Cosmic Consciousness how many planets the solar system has or how an anti-covid vaccine is made through genetic engineering which is in fact God's engineering. Remember, Sars-Cov-2 virus is a dreamed object by God and/or us or it is the real Infinite "I Am" manifested into a limited form of a virus, or etc. :) Rupert said in another video that all objects are "I Am" = God manifested limited in forms (stones, trees, etc.). So, according to Rupert and other followers of this dogma, the bacterium Borrelia, which is a spirochete bacterium that causes Lyme disease (a torturous and long-lasting disease that destroys the social, mental and material life of the infected person bitten by a tick), before being qualified as a destructive bacterium, it is in its essence "I Am "= a "isness" which is God's being, and this manifestation of God in a finite form of microscopic and toxic spirochete bacteria is cleverly programmed to attack and relentlessly destroy another finite form of the same "I am", but manifested as an conscious, intelligent, spiritual, rational, sentimental man, which is the culminating work on earth of the same Conscious Being "I Am". I sincerely appreciate awakened people like Mr. Rupert Spira and others, but I agree with them to the point where a "prostitution" of reason begins to appear just to agree with a religious-spiritual-philosophical doctrine that anesthetizes the reason.

Because of him the truth has been revealed to me and many others. Many teachers are very vague and elongate practice. He's a no bullshit dude and he gets right to the point. No flowery or sparkly descriptions of the truth. Just the truth and nothing but. Anyone who believes in matter is just someone I feel sorry for. Beliefs are for the mentally inept and for the weak of heart.

@@thinkandsend7453 I understand your well-stated and erudite concerns. But the issue here is larger than the forms you speak of, even the devastating effects of Lyme disease and COVID-19 (you should check out the recent Instagram posts of Jeff Foster, another enlightened Englishman, who I believe just came thru a very intense period of dealing with Lyme). What Rupert is speaking of here (and in all his videos as far as I can see) is not a “philosophy” (a mental abstract) but actual experience. Grounded physical experience that we can (from a conditioned, Materialist point of view) see as outside our understanding and therefore unreal or abstract. No, from Rupert’s teaching point of view our usual way of seeing is the abstract, incomplete way. Rupert is genuinely trying to be helpful, a Bodhisattva in Buddhist terms who sees as his mission “coming down the mountain halfway” to meet our yearning attempts to climb that same mountain. This doesn’t put him “above” me but rather makes him the experienced traveler who comes back down the path to help guide “others” on their way. Does this make sense? It IS a radical thing, this understanding. If we accept Jesus’ and other Master’s words about accepting everything that comes to us as our own it does lead to a certain peace that passes all understanding. Even Lyme. Even tRump! Ha!

I also was haunted by the idea that if we think feel and act according to the understanding the world is an illusion then I will not feel compassion for the illusory creatures around me. Until one day I , who used to practice spear fishing for years and enjoyed seen the struggling of the fish for his life when it was speared by the harpoon realized that now after several years of following the teaching of Rupert I wouldn’t be able to do something like that any more Few days ago I caught myself with the fact that I wasn’t able to kill some worms growing in my flower tree. This was something natural not a result of a thought or reasoning. It is happening just like an spontaneous mutation. My conclusion is that once we begin to feel the non duality of existence compassion and love follow naturally!! I have to thank Rupert for being the responsible of this transformation in my life behavior.

@Al Garnier that's a great metaphor for the world and how we live our lives here. Kinda of dog eat dog. The rat race to survive. I guess we just need to decide if that's how we want to continue. There's some interesting stories about sages, yogis, mystics and saints who stop eating completely after becoming enlightened!

Gotta love Rupert. He's such a clear teacher. I was so glad to hear him refer to Lucid Dreaming. It's a good metaphor for how it feels to understand the "illusion" of space, time, and matter. The lucid dreamer both has a dream and wakes up in its dream. That person understands they are both the dreamer and the dreamed simultaneously. We say the same is true in our "waking" life. When you "wake up" when awake you realize you are both the dreamer of your human experience and that character simultaneously. What happens when you "wake up" in your waking state, commonly called enlightenment? You don't care less about your human character and other characters, and what appears to happen in the world. You love everything and everyone because you see yourself in everyone and everything, and everyone and everything in yourself. Very similiar to how lucid dreamers feel when they wake up in their dream. 😊

@@FootyFrenzyHD Think much handed down anecdotal information about certain yogis, lamas, mystics, saints and other spiritual teachers having done this. But having studied physics and quantum mechanics at masters level isn't this based at it's foundation on hypotheses and theory? So one has to buy into the basis hypotheses to start and the subsequent building blocks from there? Science is constantly proving old theories redundant or not quite right or not the full picture and evolving. To believe entirely in the reductionism of science has lead to the term scientism and a rigidity of thinking similar to the idealism of religion.
@conradcoleby
@conradcoleby 3 жыл бұрын
@@FootyFrenzyHD Rupert is simply explaining the philosophy of mystical books and teachings such as the Bhagavad Gita, Zen, Buddhism and other Eastern philosophy. I didn't get the impression he was claiming to be enlightened and able to move mountains, walk through walls or whatever. He says that he's just an ordinary guy attempting to explain the inexplicable. In Zen, for example, it is not about attempting to break things down and study the parts as in the reductionism of science but about meditating until one becomes the Buddha. So much more abstract and intangible. This doesn't though negate the experiences. Having used science to study consciousness (my MSc is in Consciousness) there isn't anything in science to negate what Rupert is saying whilst there is also nothing to positively endorse what he says either. So jury still out on that one. But I guess one may well get what one believes on the basis of self hypnosis being suggestion accepted. So if you accept the suggestion then you'll see just that. What does that say about the mind?

I agree. Difference between real and true A lie is also real but not true. When something is true then there's an alignment between different things. A lie is a lack of alignment between real things. There is nothing "not real". If something isn't real than you wouldn't think about it. It simply isn't. The differentian between "something is real" and something is not real " is itself something embedded in reality. We cannot break out of the framework of reality 😊

All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages. *William Shakespeare* It's like we're just "acting" literally... drama gets created and it's real drama but it's not our real true self??? Right? Do I got it right?...sometimes it's hard to grasp it...why? Is it the perspective that I've been conditioned to all my life????

Carlos Gutierrez, for me, this physical reality (illusion) is the reflection of our consciousness. In addition, reality is not what appears to be or you are seeing, but it is what you think is going through your old and limited belief system, mindset, past experiences, traumas, etc. You are making up your own reality as you go. However, by becoming a more spiritual being, then you can create a different reality. In other words, your spiritual reality can change your physical reality into a better place, because you will use your intuition. No more dramas just unconditional love!

But here's the thing. An actor who keeps remembering his or her true identity during a play won't be able to achieve the kind of performance that an actor who loses him/herself in their role will. That emotions conveyed by such an actor will not be deep enough, they will be rather superficial. But someone who, just for that moment, truly identifies with their character, will be able to give a superb performance. They will, of course, remember who they are a few moments before they bow down in front of the audience at the end of the play, but when they are speaking their lines, they better forget the fact that they're John or Judy Smith. The whole theatre was built just for that moment.

In Vedantic teachings of Hinduism, when we say the world is an illusion, we mean that anything which is temporary is an illusion. The one which is permanent is real thing. An individual is born & dead, is just not there, appears illusion but life is reality because it’s eternal.

So...when I feel nostalgia for my father who died 3 years ago, am I missing someone / something that only existed for a moment by the creativity of awareness?

Yes, that's right. And in the same manner you can be with him at any moment you desire by going inward, for that, that you miss, his presence is still here: i too lost my father 10 years ago and I miss him and can't hug him but I feel him just the same.

He tries to explain these very difficult concepts of The Upanishads very beautifully, but the problem is our finite minds can't comprehend the Infinite Sat-Chit-Ananda, the absolute Existence Consciousness Bliss...so our finite limited minds keep on asking questions. The Brahman, the scriptures tell us, can be "realised" only during Samadhi when the mind is completely quiescent and all thoughts have completely subsided. Only when Self realisation is achieved does the mind stop asking these questions. Hence Raman Maharshi repeatedly emphasized on the need for practice of Self enquiry or any other type of Sadhana( spiritual practices) as per Guru's advice.

> I don't unerstand anything. •Nothing to be understood. You are That . Just bring the attention back to that. ~>To what? •To that sense of presence that which you can almost 'touch' when you direct your attention on it. .. it just can not be defined by anything, for sure not the mind .. Nobody knows what it is .. not Buddha, not Jesus .. It's just the babbling of existence. You can call it Brahman, okay, it doesn't explain anything. If you think you know. . Careful, its just another aspect of IT... all just experiences, which expire. Sit daily just with what is, or better sit as what it.. just to bring the attention back. That's it. Nothing to be done about it. Bring yourself back to that sense of presence which makes all the experiences possible. As soon as the rememberence comes, be that, connect & stay there. That much we can do, we're asked to do actually. To say you are the doer is a concept. To say you are not the doer is another concept. What to do with Enlightenment? Enlightenment, what's that? If you want to do something.. do something that alleviates the pain, the suffering in the world. So..The best you can do is to be absolutly centered in yourself. But if you do nothing else than be absolutely present, you do the best for the collective. Come back home to your true nature... & let the external world take its course & if you're called to do something in it, do many good things, if not don't, just remain quite.

I would love to get some ideas/answers to the question below, it has been stuck in my mind for months and I can’t seem to get any answers; Was Big Bang experienced? There was no creature alive when it happened so if it was experienced how?? If it was not experienced then that would mean it never took place in the first place. I don’t know it is very confusing
@mikefoster5277

I'd say the 'big bang' represents the outward manifestation of the _birth_ of consciousness, and hence the birth of duality and of experience itself. Although to confuse matters, I'd also say that 'big bangs' possibly come and go - ie. the universe might expand and contract in regular cycles, rather than being a one off event - and again, this would tie in with the birth, expansion, contraction and perhaps a resting period for consciousness also, before the cycle repeats itself ad infinitum. So to answer your question, the 'big bang' itself wouldn't therefore be experienced, but experience would commence immediately after it. Of course, to a mere human being, the billions of years each cycle takes to complete seems like a very long time period indeed. But to the ultimate dreamer [I tend to think of experience as being God's dream] the 'cycle' of each successive universe is possibly no more than a day's work; with the 'resting period' I mentioned being the equivalent of our human overnight sleep! :-)

Mike Foster Thanks for your reply. The way we think is very similiar actually. But if we say Big Bang actaully happened and think of life as God’s dream we must therefore say that it was experienced because in any dream for something to take place it must be experienced. So The Dream Model and Big Bang seem like contradicting each other. It is like it is eithe Dream Model or Big Bang. Because how possible is it that Big Bang was experienced? If it was not, then it simply has never taken place.
@mikefoster5277
@mikefoster5277 5 жыл бұрын
+The Guy But I'm not saying the 'big bang actually happened' - _you_ are! And I'm suggesting that the reason it never actually happened is that the 'big bang' itself is _not_ part of the dream, but is rather the moment just before the dream starts. It is therefore the very moment that the non-dual state of the absolute/God/pure being/what ever we want to call it, suddenly becomes aware of itself and thereby automatically produces the dualistic state of consciousness and experience - the knower and the known - our daily human experience, or God's dream.

Maybe its like this. Time and space are one of the many tools of awareness for experience. Creatures don't experience, experiences sort of happen in awareness. So big bang is probably sort of the most basic experience that sort of happens when awareness sort of starts to compress part of itself into this universe. I have to say sort of because it is our human way of using language for something we don't know shit about. Also, understanding this will not bring us any bit closer to knowing who we really are. But still, the mind is fond of riddles, so along we go, finding it very important to solve them :))

It is experienced now, in the very thought of it; we experience its implicit presence within the observable forms which logically depend on it. The same way that we experience "the world" as implied by the limited area of space we are currently observing, we experience the past and the future as implied by the limited area of time we are currently observing.

I try not to watch the past or the future. The mind loves to go to the past or try to figure out the future. Past and future are like thieves who steal awareness.Enlightenment is to be awake. To be fully awake is when the mind is quiet. There is no mystery to life. The breath is the divine. Just sit and follow the breaths as you inhale and exhale. You can also follow the breaths when doing simple daily activities. This is not so easy because the mind loves distraction. Practice being awake. ZEN

But why are there constant physical laws though? In a single one of my nighttime dreams, I've had laws change constantly - one moment I can fly, one moment I can breathe underwater, and even more complex things like entropy going backwards and all kinds of weird realities, even more crazier than the ones in Dr. Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
