@@newchangeunlisted_viewer5594 Unfortunately, yes. She was 14 when she took her life on a live-stream by jumping off a building. She took her life because she said she wanted to become a legend. Sadly, people were encouraging her to and she did, but there were some people that told her not to do it. There's not much that I know of of why she wanted to and what her home life was like.

I wish people would understand that the sad part is that no body on the livestream were telling her to jump, they were all telling her to go home. But she wouldn’t listen, she made up her mind already. I found the translations to the chat logs, and clearly NONE of them were telling her to jump. Please, look at this comment. People are trying to make this case more dramatic than it already is, let her Rest In Peace. I agree, it’s sad. I cry every time I think of her.

fun fact; the livestream for this song was set for 6/20/20, my birthday, the day i planned my suicide. i never went with it though. roro, you're not alone. and you are a legend, but not in this way. i wish you could've known your potential, and although i feel your pain, you're not alone. and suicide was not the way to go. you are a legend but i wish you realized you could've done it in some other way. may you rest in peace, and may you play that piano all you want as happily as you can.

I was wishing to die on my birthday. Then I just decided to commit suicide on that day, for easier. I'm actually glad I was prevented, and still be here in these days. Just whenever I remind of what happened to roro it just tears me up, and the first times I've heard about her story I wanted to die too because the world was disgusting so they even made a poor girl kill herself. But however I'm now feeling a bit better about life and it's worth it that I endured not to commit suicide, at least I guess so. I hope you keep living too, you're really relatable and even if I don't know about you I'd be sad if something'd happen to you..

This version almost sounds more hopeful, like it believes there's more to the story besides anything sad. It's a song that believes in you. The original isn't much different, but this one just sounds like a sad, but strong and ever growing hope that there will always be someone out there who loves you.

Reminder that while the song itself is partially made for Roro-Chan, it's also made for both kids with mental disorders (Depression, Anxiety, etc) and those who've killed themselves because of it, (eg; MinMin and Nakaikiaka). Ruru is a representation to all of them/us as well. Remember to take care of yourself too, btw

People are unfortunately spreading false information, which I understand because details can get messed up when something happened many year ago. Because of that, I thought right to correct everyone. 1. “Roro died after 3 hours.” She did not die after three hours. She fell and survived for about 5 minutes (maybe more) and then died. She may or may not have died on the way to the hospital, however this is just a personal theory. There was an article which I cannot find again since I do not speak Japanese, but the woman who found her said her lungs were still working and she had a pulse. She was declared dead after three hours. 2. “Roro was abused and bullied!” She was not abused in real life, she was just sexually harassed by older men on the internet. The only abuse she was given was that she was neglected by her mother. She was not bullied in real life either, just on her live-streams. You can see this by looking at class photos. 3. “Roro screamed when she fell!” She didn’t scream. I saw the video of the livestream. (I did not see the livestream in 2013, when it happened, but there is a reupload of the video here on KZfaq. I will not link it because it breaks youtube guidelines) People get this from when her phone fell, the wind made a noise that people thought was her screaming. Before she fell, she said “scary” and “I can’t do it” in Japanese. 4. “Everyone was telling her to jump.” This is incorrect. Everyone, at least from what I saw, was telling her to go home. Please do not spread false information and jump to “spreading awareness” when you do not know the whole story. (sorry for my not accurate english, it is not my first language. if you’re seeing this twice it’s because I copy and pasted this on a few different rorochan videos)

I feel like her mother is somewhat forgivable in this. Japanese people work very often from what I know, and it’s the reason why some people choose to be hikikomoris and there are more pets than children.

The fact this song also comforted me...I remember how I planned when and how to kill myself..when I tried to do it..I scared myself and asked myself what am I doing..I planned on choking myself to death and drowning in my bath tub full of cold water on the last day of school..but I'm still alive, I'm glad that I'm still here..please..if you are thinking of killing yourself, don't do it..just remember the people that loves you are there for you, it might not be easy to get rid of that thought in your head but always remember you are loved you are not alone in this world and there are so many people going through the same problem as you, some succeeded and some didn't..but I want you to stay and see how much of a better person you will become in the future..stay..and be loved..and be happy that's all I ask for..don't hurt yourself either because it will just cause more pain to your own well-being...and while living your life you will one day finally meet that one person who will stay by your side, understand you and love you..all I'm saying is that killing yourself will not remove the pain you have but will add more to it..roro-chan must've been a sweet person but if only there was someone there at that time and moment that will listen to her and comfort her, I don't think any of this would've happened..I really pray for her to be well rested and happy right now..fly away peacefully roro-chan..be happy from now on

First of all, I love the og song, Shinsei Kamettachan is such a great band and Ruru's livestream is the song that get me into them, but I don't want to focus on that, I want to appreciate the fac t how well this cover is done. Don't act like you miss her, you didn't know her. Nobody did, that was the reason she left. Saying you miss her won't retroactively do anything so don't kid yourself. You can feel sorry for her, pity her, but don't say you miss her, it's disrespectful to what she went through.

She deserved to have a future. She deserved to have a dream. She deserved to be happy. She deserved to live. I didn't really know her and the dark meaning behind the song. As someone who is broken and doesn't feel emotions anymore, it was the first time in a long time that I felt sad for a person I don't fully know. After hearing her story and what happened in her livestream, I couldn't imagine the dread she felt after doing that. She was still young and had her life ahead of her. I hope she can see from above the songs and covers made in her honor. She will not be forgotten.

I am a nurse and I've seen other people die, including one of my friends. The song just pulled all the emotions out of me during those dark times. But thanks for assuming I have fake depression.

the story behind the song was never confirmed, this song is a suicide awareness song and Ruru is the oc of Noko. Noko vents by making music and has had a shit ton of attempts and this song is to spread awareness of suicidal and those feeling suicidal. And Noko made merch out of Ruru. Also we cannot be sure its a tribute, it uas never been said, the sing is a suicide awareness song talking about suicide in general and i wish more people knew this

Any Optimistic type of emotional support will help in the long run. Talk to your family, Therapist, or Friends. This cover, unlike the original version, conveys something different to me. The original song wanted to tell you the story of Ruru and similar cases. This cover sounds hopeful in a way, as if it's telling you "That's not the solution, find your own resolve, without having to do that". Great work, sir

This is sad but yet relatable. I’ve thought about ending my life countless times. In fact my dad actually ended his own and it put my family in a lot of pain. Even after that I have still thought about ending my life. People don’t realize the pain me and others go through on a daily basis.
