I love Ziyi Zhang (Hu Li) in this movie. She plays a villain so well, rocks a red lipstick, and makes a great femme fatale. She was also great in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters as Dr. Ilene Chen and Ling Chen. One of my favorite comedic parts: James Carter: Just tell me how the Triads gon' kill us. Lee: They will torture us for three days. James Carter: I can handle that. Lee: Then they will cut off our eggrolls. James Carter: Cut off our eggrolls? Hell no! Let's get the hell outta here! Side note: Michael Jackson watched this movie around the time he was planning out his short film for the song "You Rock My World" and contacted Chris Tucker for a guest starring role and Chris stated in interviews that Michael told him "I've seen your movie Rush Hour 2, you're kickin' with the wrong leg". 😆😆🤣🤣

A worthy follow up to the first Rush Hour movie! Two interesting facts about this sequel: 1) Chris Tucker once said that the song he sang at the karaoke scene brought the attention of Michael Jackson himself. He jokingly told him that he was “kicking with the wrong leg.” 😆 Michael sure had a great sense of humor. 2) The casino hotel that was blown up at the end was meant for demolition shortly after filming was completed.

Fun fact: the scene with the chicken was completely unscripted. The woman in that stand did not even know they were filming when they got that scene, and the producers literally had to run out from behind the camera to stop her from killing the chicken

Ok i don't know if i'm the only one but... Hu Li freaking gives me Azula from avatar vibes. Like just like Azula, Hu Li is a freaking psycho who is just bloodthirsty and takes pleasure in killing anyone who she hates. And man, her final moment... she just went pure insane that she was willing to kill Lee and Carter even if it meant her dying along with them too. And my goodness, the look on her desperate face when she saw that Lee and Carter were going out the window leaving her for dead, she was like also gonna cry too when she was screaming, i do wonder what she was even saying. Also Hu Li is one of those villains that has me pretty curious, like what the hell happened to her in her past or in her childhood that caused her to become this psychotic, violent and evil???

You'd be surprised about the bamboo, it's still being used for scafolding when tall buildings are being refurbished or built; I came back from Hong Kong only two weeks ago and outside the hotel window the tall building was covered with bamboo scafolding. They're tied together by either rope or cable ties, the latter of which we saw from the scene when they were falling, they're just not strong enough to withstand severe force and weight of two grown men falling.

This is a good example of making a sequel. Very flawless. The third one didn't do a fantastic job, but it still enjoyable and has good fight scenes.

Zhang Ziyi (Hu Li) is a excellent martial artist. If you haven't seen Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000). I highly recommend you do. You'll see just how good Zhang Ziyi is.
