It's really tough seeing them in there prime when they were gods, in the height of their physical and musical prowess and realizing Peart's not here anymore. Time goes buy so fucking fast. I was just 11 when this album came out, I can remember riding around the streets at night on my BMX listening to this on my Walkman in fall of 82.

("Sgt.J."). I've got to go to many concerts before some S..t Heads got tickets so High. No one I, know has been to more than 2 in 10 years. Disgusting. I'm a former musician. And, It's Unbelievable what Capital. And, Some "people did." Last time i saw Rush. The Ticket 🎫 was $12.50 Day of Show. Big Auditorium. Before 2000. "I'm not stuck in the past." But, It jumped in a few months. How could 5 websites have that same ticket? A buddy got those seats💺💺 yesterday! 🤔 Military, Working. And, other things ... I, feel as if i, got passed by a few years. The wierd thing. There are Concerts here on U Tube i, Actually have been to. Never thought I, Would ever experience that. Wow. 👍✌️😊🍻☕☕🕊️

Rush the greatest live band ever and beloved the world over, and Neil Peart the greatest rock drummer ever. There will never be another like him, he was a good man, a loving husband and father and a major inspiration to every drummer out there, he is dearly missed.

During the R40 era, the tempos were slowed down simply because of old(er) age. They'd play most songs a ½ step down, and then if they used it for a live release, they'd speed the tape up to the correct key. It's a bitch getting old and fatigued.

For those wondering in the comments: they’re really playing “that fast” … it isn’t just tape speed or some other mechanical issue. Just note the sequencer tempos are correct … “Digital Man”, for example. Neil was a master of bringing the band back to meter when the machines kicked in- I’ve a friend who used to tour with them in the GUP era who marveled at this phenomenon. There was no click to sync to in between the sequencer parts- just the professor’s own internal clock.

I saw this tour in Chicago (Rosemont) later that year. This is like reliving the very show I was at. Alex wore that light colored new wave style jacket (same one, I'll bet), and Geddy wore a sleeves-cut-off grey sweatshirt, real similar to the one here. And I remember distinctly that Alex spent half the show leaning against that equipment stage right- they probably had side monitors over there. The set was the same. After all these years the Signals tunes are the ones that stand out. Probably because that was the album I was listening to at the time, and they used visuals for some of those. Fun to be able to watch this and go back to just how it was.

I was 17 when I saw this show. A group of friends and I would purchase bus packages (ticket included a charter bus ride) from Ottawa to the MTL Forum. What a unique experience seeing many great bands in the early 80's in Montreal, as some bands would skip performing at the Ottawa Civic Centre. I also remember after our first bus package trip, some of us would scrambled to get to the Mcdonald's, near the Form to grab food before the bus departed. I learned quickly, with a bus full of people with the munchies, they would pay just about anything for a Big Mac or a Quarter Pounder. Many times it paid for our night out, but required some fast footwork to get back to the bus in time. But well worth the experience being a teenager in the 80's, who saw an opportunity that allowed me to experience many concerts for free, or almost free. Thanks for posting this, brings back some great memories of my past.

At the Forum we hit the pit but got caught and we all took off. I ended up backstage behind Peart, who had a towel over his head just moments before the show. Extremely surreal being backstage when nobody was there to stop me. I quickly hot-tailed it back out front running off the side of the stage near Alex so I could get back to my balcony seat. My friends saw me running from backstage and freaked out

Guys, unless you're a drummer yourself, don't ever pick a fight with a drummer "they will surely kill you" 😬 Neil just played his ass off for almost 2 straight hours here THEN did his drum solo😮 I can't imagine the kind of strength it must take to be a drummer at this kind of level or a drummer period?! I'm a drummer fan boy "guitarist" and have nothing but the utmost respect and love for drummers, they are unquestionably the hardest working member physically of any band!

Holy crap this is cool. I saw them a few weeks earlier in Las Cruces, NM and it was my first Rush show. Looking at their tour schedule for that album, they started it in Apr 1982 and ended in May 1983. Poor guys had a relentless schedule.

I saw this tour two weeks prior (Charlotte, NC). Sucks that they did only half of The Camera Eye. Abbreviating Xanadu I get, as by that point they'd been doing it in its entirety since '77. But TCE was only one album old, and they would not perform it again until the Time Machine and R40 tours decades later.

I remember when they came & played the old Salt Palace on this tour in Salt Lake City, Utah in the spring of '83 and both my older brother & sister getting ready to go & how pissed off I was cause I didn't have enough to get a ticket to go. For me this is RUSH in their prime on the Signals tour. This era just hits it on all levels. It doesn't get any better than this!

I was 8 yrs old when this came out. I was a little too young to appreciate it. Around 11-12 I had this cassette on day and night. Signals is probably still my favorite album. Maybe not as technical of an album but dark. Just a great fucking band.

40 years ago (in two days actually) 3 buddies from college and I stopped off on our way, picked up my little HS age brother and drove 2+ hours to Charlotte to the old Coliseum (now Bojangles Col.) for all of us' first Rush show ever. This video was recorded about a week and a half later. Tickets were $12.50. I still have my ticket stub as the only memento from the show. (We didn't carry phones in our pockets back in those days, kids. Way down the road, I found the show we attended on Dime and downloaded it. The audio quality is pretty low but still it is great to remember what little banter Geddy carried on to the crowd. I appreciate Snowdog for uploading this, thank you.
