The pictures he took of the crowd and his best friends. Ending it as the new guy saluting John Rutsey. I don't think Neil had the diagnosis yet but I think he knew something was a lot more wrong than arthritis/drummer pain. He knew it was an emergency retirement. He would have suffered 150 more shows no matter the pain. He loved his friends and quietly loved his fans. He announced it his way to both with the bow. I'm not a hardcore Rush fan. I love love love them, but I am a Neil fan more.

In 1984, my family moved to Winchester VA just before I went into 9th grade; met my new best friend, who introduced me to Rush music. In 1998, I move to Ontario, Canada. In 2004, my partner and I open a computer shop. In 2007, my partner and I bought a house across the street from Rush's manager's parents house. In 2010, I meet Neil's father....we become his "computer guys". During the Clockwork Angels tour he comes in and asks us if we'd like Rush tickets? I said "I love you!". Two 5th row floor seats. R40 tour, same thing. 5th row. We had the best time ever. Small world. RIP, Glen, RIP Neil.

Canada has presented us some of the GREATEST ROCK. I say this as a A life long, native born U.S. citizen. Our northern neighbors have ROCKED US just as hard had the Brits did!. Seemingly "the kids" associate Canadian music with Bieber or perhaps (somewhat "better" Celine Dion..) BUT Holy Fuck: Rush, The Guess Who, B.T.O, Triumph, April Wine, The Band and not to EVER be forgotten Gordon Lightfoot. And More! Being from Pittsburgh, PA I was lucky to hear great Canadian radio, like CKLW and others. Thank you Canada for this! Well, also thank you for the Telephone, Walkie Talkie, Basketball and Hockey too!!

I saw them when they were playing Toronto high school gyms and bars with their original drummer, the late John Rutsey (b.1952-d.2008). I watched them go from bars to opening for big name acts, to them headlining Maple Leaf Gardens. Their prog/rock era, their more commercial FM friendly era, the tragic 90s where there was great doubt as to whether the band would continue or not. Their resurrection in the 2000's and their graceful exit with their best song from their very first album. They never sold out, they never gave it anything but their very best. So proud of these three hosers who stayed humble from start to finish. The greatest band Canada has ever produced, and one of the greatest bands of all-time.

That last riff at the end was Garden Road.

Tears, tears, tears. They are streaming. I’m so moved beyond words. Perhaps Neil can articulate what I’m feeling from beyond the lighted stage. This is the core of what life is. I know that sounds ridiculous but fellow Rush fans know what I am trying to say. Ok, more tears now.

I kind of wish there would have been a live DVD recorded and filmed for this as well. Time Stand Still doesn’t count.

I also wish there was pro shot footage of a signals concert. I also wish we could see Exit Stage Left in its entirety.

After all of Neil's personal loses for them to come back and finish a 40 year career just shows how devoted they were to their craft and fans..I hope to enjoy listening to Rush to the day I die! I love Rush!

Just saw the 1974 live video of “Working Man”. Had to come here and see the last one. Rest in peace Neil. Rest in peace John. Thank you boys.

I'm just so glad that I got to see them as many times as I did (17) and that those times were some of the best memories I have.

Saw them over 6 times and never was disappointed. Such a dravesty losing the Professor.

I don't always listen to Rush, but when I do...um... actually, I do always listen to Rush.

I have been a Rush fan since 1976. I was 10 and I saw Rush and Kansas in 1976 and 1977. The energy, the fun and the vibe was fantastic during the 1 year before and after our bicentennial. 1976/1977 was all about Rush, Kansas and Peter Frampton. RIP Mr. Peart.

Rush didn't improvise much, but Alex's lead here is next-level. Reminds me of seeing Neil Young live, staying with the song while also going off to new places nobody expected. I saw them 8 times, and I'm glad I made the effort.

3… the number of times I saw Rush… the perfect number for the perfect trio, and my favorite band until the day I leave this earth and beyond. 🙏❤️😋

They've never been my favorite band, but nearly 50 years of listening to this song hasn't dimmed its appeal one bit.
