This exceptional track from this exceptional band sounds absolutely great on vinyl. Warm, rich, and full. Thanks, Israel, for posting it.

That bass drum!!!...As a drummer(right handed), I love that the stereo image(if I'm using that term correctly)is such that I feel like I'm sitting behind Neil's kit. Which let's face it, is where I imagine myself being. Any time the stereo image is the opposite of this, I have to imagine myself in the audience facing the stage...I'm guessing most drummers prefer the former. Thanks so much for sharing this sublime recording!!!

"The camera eye", at 9:04. I hear some strange things here. Sounds like a burp and some people talking. Since I was a kid this intrigues me. Does anyone hear that too?

@@antypost4225, I always thought Alex belches, and Geddy says, 'good God, Alex.' This is by far my favorite song on the album. It inspired me to visit New York City. One day, I hope to visit London.
@herostatus5 жыл бұрын
From what I've heard from several Rush fans, it's producer Terry Brown from behind the sound board in his thick English accent: "Hello" .. Ged responds "Mornin' gov". Why it was kept in the song, I do not know.
@kevinmcmahon77075 жыл бұрын
It's a common reply in London from a paperboy to his customer in the old days , That's why it's in the London end of the song

I just picked up the Moving Pictures Remaster on CD.....it is a pale shadow to this Vinyl version. What cartridge and phono stage are you using on your technics turntable ??
@IsraelQuezada999 Жыл бұрын
Hello, Thank you! I made this video about 9 years ago... That's an Ortofon OM10 cartridge and I'm not sure what was the phono stage, I think I had the turntable connected to a Pioneer SX-780 receiver and I connected the audio out to the computer and I captured the audio with Audacity.

Your audio channels are reversed, and the sound is heavily equalized (boosted lows and highs).
@verrucktaberschonemusik42884 жыл бұрын
I know this, but who cares? It sounds awesome in my audio equipment. I prefer it over the CD I have
@IsraelQuezada9994 жыл бұрын
I know, I made this video almost 5 years ago. I've corrected it on my latest videos.
@mjm50812 жыл бұрын
Didn't realize the channels were reversed! As a drummer, I was just excited to hear it as if I were sitting behind Neil's kit!...Frankly, I wish every Rush album was like this 😃
