This is how 3 guys in their late 50s would end a 3 hour show, with the song that put them on the musical map. It all started when Donna Halper, former music director for radio station WMMS in Cleveland, brought in a copy of their debut album, and played Working Man while she went for a bathroom break; Cleveland was mainly a factory town in the 1970s, so the lyrics instantly resonated with the listeners, and then they caught the attention of Mercury Records, who signed them to their first record deal. It was always great when they played that song in concert. And it was extra fun when they'd have a little fun with it, like the reggae touches.

Another amazing live performance by Rush is when they performed "Spirit of Radio" live in Toronto in 2013 in front of 500,000 fans. They start by playing an instrumental version of "Paint It Black" in tribute to the Rolling Stones and then it segues into a blistering version of "Spirit of Radio". When you see the size of the crowd you'll be amazed.

I saw Rush on their last tour. They were as awesome as they were in their prime, but then, I think they were always in their prime!

I always loved that Rush "reinterpreted" may of their songs. I can imagine after the 30-40 years they were together how boring and old songs could get...boring. Also it made me appreciate them more because they showed how versatile they were as musicians

One of the best live clips I have seen is titled "the best intro ever". Try to check that one out. Especially being familiar with many rush songs. You will recognize the medley.

Rush is such an amazing group and that crowd was awesome. If you want to be impressed watch the clip of Rush being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. The crictics never gave Rush all the love they deserve but the fans always have.

Saw them on this tour in Newcastle on May 21st 2011. As always it was an unbelievable show & Working Man was just unreal. If anyone tells me there's 3 better masters of their instruments anywhere then I wouldn't believe them for a second. Thankfully this evidence is on DVD & KZfaq for eternity.

Appropriate reaction to tell Dashy not to overwork! Listen to dad on this one! I got to see Rush twice (83 and 92 I think), but I don't think they played this either time. Of course what they did play was awesome, though!

I give credit to this song for keeping me half sane for the god-awful 3 1/2 years in Hawaii. A band that played at a nearby bar/nightclub would play this and nail it. Giving me a reason to live. When they saw me roll in, they knew they were going to be "Working Men".

My personal opinion: one has to already know the original song, in order to appreciate this "fun" reggae version (over which I would pass)... For someone who's discovering Rush, he/she should not begin with these.
