To know the physical pain Neil endured on this tour and still played for us fans the way he did just makes me appreciate him even more 🙏 I doubt other drummers would do that, he’s not about the money he actually cares to play amazingly for the fans to get their money’s worth and enjoy the experience 🙏 just utterly amazing!

I saw them in St. Louis on this tour; fourth show of the tour IIRC. The first time I ever saw Neil look like he was having to work to play, and I’d seen most tours going back to 1981. I took what was my future wife at the time and she hadn't really heard them outside when i played Rush in the car. We were dating for about 4 months before the vapor trails tour and had lawn tickets. She sat down for O'Baterista. I said "What are you doing?" "I don't really like drum solos" she said "So, this is Neal Peart" She stood up and was mesmerized for the 8 min solo. She basically said "Holy jesus fuck that's awesome!"

I become significantly emotional (...to a slightly painful degree at times) when I listen to, watch, or even just think about these guys... especially videos from tours that I saw. I know many of you have seen them on many, many tours and on dozens of occasions...but for being born in 1995, I consider myself very lucky to have seen them six times... the final of which, was at The Forum in Inglewood for this very tour. They're just so powerful and have such a profound meaning in my life. I share my love of them with my parents, who introduced me as a young child. I also share my love with all of you guys! It's amazing how fellow fans of this band are almost like one big extended family...and we 'get' each other (as many elsewhere in our lives do not) ...and it's even inspired me to become a musician myself. My life would not be what it is without Rush. I have so many fond memories, and I look back with mostly inspiration and joy...but the thought that I will never experience that again directly does weigh on me at times... it exists now only in my memories, and in my passions. I will say, though...the sadness does bring a certain amount of motivation for me to put everything I've got into my own music, and persist in pursuing the things in life that I love. I don't think I could thank them enough...
