7 Nm wow! I have the screws set to 28 (in-lbs) / 3 (N-m) and it's rock solid. Had a bit of tail wobble @ 20 in-lbs. Thanks for great review.

Ah I see, so Bruce wasn't misreading the gauge's scale, 7N-m = 62in/lbs! I'll pass that on to him, cheers. Russ

Nice review Russ and some good tips on tightening the unit 👍I think O would prefer to spot using the scope but then have the option to change over (at the click of a button) to night vision for the actual shot. I have a hik micro spotter to spot but use my pard for shooting. Problem with just using thermal is I have a friend who gets carried away with every heat signature and spends many happy hours stalking, only to find he has been looking at a half hidden rock !! Keep the reviews coming mate 👍

Great video, thanx😊. I have just ordered one myself, to shoot NZ posumms, rabbits with my Tikka T1X. Then I'll put it on my 243 T3X for wallabies and fallow deer. But not looking forward to setting it up though lol.

Cheers Steve and thanks for watching. 👍 Not re scopes as yet, but the HIKMICRO Gyrphon thermal spotter has that fusion functionality, and looked damn good on the Elite Optics stand at the British Shooting Show... have you seen my show video on that? Cheers. Russ

Hmm I can only recommend you 'try before you buy', best compare them side-by-side in the same conditions, as it might well be very close, and you have to go for what feels right as well as the image quality. Good luck deciding, cheers. Russ

got the same scope and had the same issue with the screws , was damn scared to tighten them up to the required tightness as i thought i'd break the scope

Hey Russ, seeing as you tested it in real life, I have a question, would you be able to identify and shoot a rabbit at 150 meters with one of these?

Hi there, hmm I regarded this as a more of a shorter-range scope. My preference is bunny headshots, so nope this isn't the scope for that job. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

@@RussDouglas222 thanks heaps for the reply mate! Fellow colonists here so my options are either limited or expensive (usually both) haha what would you recommend for rabbits that’s as cheap as possible?

@@merkel2750 My pleasure, cheapest thermal spotter is the HIKMICRO Explorer E20 that plugs into my phone (I don't go shooting without it), then target them with an Arken Optics ZHD520 (£460 over here) or a ZHD520R (£600 over here) -if you'll benefit from the laser rangefinder & ballistic calculator. As a shooter for many many years why the hell are they complicating scopes why can't they make a scope you just switch on focus enlarge and shoot...🤫

@@RussDouglas222 Russ thanks for the reply if they ever made a rear add on in thermal as easy as the PVS14 I'm sure they would be on to a winner.. Switch on bang gone.... Remember the lamps we lumped around we come a lony way since then I guess I'm old fashion and dislike the new technology... No fumbling with the PVS14 press this press that just swith on and gone.. 👍🍺 Cheers

@@bampitony6108 PVS14 is before my time, I started with a Yukon XT then RT. You can't have thermal rear add-on as it can't see through glass, but front thermal add-ons can work well. All the best, cheers. Russ
