The second/final part to our 100% honest/independent review of this excellent entry-level three-in-on thermal imager (spotter / scope / dayscope add-on)...
Here I rejoin Bruce in his man-cave, exploring the details of how to get the best from the HIKMCRO TE19C in front add-on mode. We were both pleasantly surprised by the effective range when viewed through both FFP and SFP dayscopes.
Watch-on to see the footage other reviews don't include...

Mate, your part one was awesome, and your part two, well you have outdone yourself. answered every question. everyone looking to purchase a TE19 would only need to watch this to have all their questions answered. thank you, Hikmicro will be selling another unit after watching this.

Thanks very much! I'm glad we got our results across, that it might be 'entry level' thermal, but it really does fill three roles. All the best, and thank-you for your feedback! Cheers. Russ

@@RussDouglas222 hey mate, did you happen to work out how much to tighten the screw on the scope? Iv purchased one and have used it in a clip-on but haven't mounted it yet.

@@TGR8STSAVAGE Hi there, yep I think Bruce measured it during an earlier video at 25in/lb... basically a lot tighter than you'd expect to get the scope mount rock solid. Hope it works well for you as an add-on? Cheers. Russ

Well spotted Robert, always a lot of work goes into these, though I probably won't get a penny, as KZfaq has so far classed it "Firearms-related content", yep despite there not being a single gun visible anywhere. 🤦🤷🏻‍♂️ Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

Ooft sorry I can't help you there Garry, but (assuming you already saw part 1/2?)... I might have been a little disappointed at the limited range when initially using this fella as a dedicated scope to head-shoot small rats @25-30m, but as you've seen here we were very impressed by its usefulness at 50m+ in dayscope front add-on mode. That resolution plus not having to re-zero, hmmm sweet. Cheers. Russ

The tip to leave the adapted fitted on the scope might be just the thing to to make the clip on aspect of these unit worth while. As a scope its accurate no question so in theory if leaving it eliminates the variation it should be a winner. I have the Rusan adapter but still doesn't refit accurately enough for shooting so will try leaving it on and re attaching. I love the unit and like the versatility of the clip on but unless it accurate its not for me as a clip on so here's hoping.

Thanks for your comment Vic, we're about to review the Cheetah day/NV scope, so will be testing these connections for airgun use and repeatability. Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ

Brilliant thanks for this so do you think it's practical to take it on and off the gun many times for spotting during hunting and hold its zero?
@RussDouglas222
@RussDouglas222 Жыл бұрын
Thanks John, it doesn't sound particularly practical to do repeatedly, especially as if spotting a target we'd all naturally be inclined to rush to set-up to take a shot. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If I had one of these I'd practice dismounting and remounting repeatedly, taking a shot each time -then decide for myself based on ease of use, and downrange groupings. I will however soon be reviewing the HIKMICRO Cheetah (essentially an Alpex NV scope within the compact body of a Panther), which can also be used as a spotter, add-on and scope. So as part of my review I'll do exactly these checks. 🤓 Thanks for watching, cheers. Russ
