Russell has known for ages the establishment would come after him. He is too outspoken and that is too his benefit. His protection is his openness and transparency. There won't be much dirt, that hasn't been shared by him. Whatever accusations are presented, will be twisted and warped versions of the facts. He no doubt has done some repugnant things in his addled life, but who amongst us is squeaky clean? It's high time the Handlers in the entertainment and political systems get called out for their own brand of evil.

100% believable! I love and respect Russell Brand! A conspiracy theory against him is not out of the question in his case, as he is unafraid to research and voice his findings, thoughts and concerns. IMHO one of the best speakers out there! His KZfaq channel is honest, direct, funny and intellectually presented! It would be devastating to find out there was any truth to any allegations that are brought forth! He is a stand up guy who has turned his life around and become a positive role model for so many.

So, if he is found guilty of rape then yes, he definitely has a price to pay and more work to do to make amends for it. If he is guilty and using lawyers and threats of legal action to suppress these stories that is despicable. But, if he is innocent of rape and this is an organized smear campaign to take him down due to his political views then he would have every right to use lawyers and to threaten legal action to protect himself. The jury is still out.

I am fully aware of how the establishment operate, and I have no doubt that this is a deliberate attack on him. That still doesn't make him innocent. He has had a promiscuous past he admits to himself, and maybe lines were crossed. Just like Donald Trump did. We will have to wait and see until we have the details. But until then, I will assume he is innocent until proven guilty. I still cannot discount the claims of the alleged victims though, because they could be genuine.

Why leave it until now to come out with allegations? There has been plenty of opportunity to come forward with the ‘me too’ campaign. Russell has been open and honest about his past and has unpopular opinions which challenge main stream media. It sounds like there is a concerted effort to bring him down. The biggest difference is that Russell turned his life around and TOOK RESPONSIBILITY for his dark past. There may very well be awful things in his past that will come to light, but he is one of the few that has never tried to make excuses for his past. And the fact this is happening now IS suspect... countless people have told Russell to expect something like this. One by one, "they" will crush and silence any voice of truth - whether with true accusations from long ago or lies. It's a tragic time we live in.

I like Russell a lot too, but without knowing the allegations it's hard to defend or otherwise. Having said that, I don't think being honest about your past gives you a pass for bad behaviour IF something is there. It maybe that he was so drugged up he wasn't fully aware of something he did, although I would say I would be suspicious of the reasons its coming out now vs back when he was talking about it. I don't subscribe to conspiracies without any foundation, without there being some truth so keeping an open mind is best.

It's certainly not celebrity gossip. Channel 4 is not very left-wing (as Andrew Gold says in the above video) it's probably well to the right of what Russell claims to be and was only 3 years ago. It is also a very respected TV and news channel. If there are allegations they will have stood them up before making the allegations. The Times is the very opposite of Leftwing it's a very straight-laced Right-wing organ of Rupert Murdoch but unlike its sister paper, the Sun it doesn't exist to titillate its readership it's a paper of record in the UK. Obviously with both those making the allegations something is there for Russell to answer.

I've followed Russell since his MTV days. He is now 20 years clean & sober, which is incredible. He was a heroin/crack addict for 2yrs, but very luckily had a team around him to help him clean up. That always drew me to him, bc he was so very open about his history & comes across as very much wanting to help people, especially the average Joe. I know after he got clean he became a s3x addict, but he was a huge s3x symbol here in the UK & I'm sure there were huge amounts of women who were more than happy to sleep with him. Everyone needs to remember that Brand is an anti-establishment, truth seeking anarchist & absolutely against any political party here or abroad. Most of his views have remained very liberal, but he's made a market for himself with a predominantly, American right wing audience. If C4 & The Times attack him on the basis they misrepresent his political views, then that is seriously effed up. I'll keep an open mind, but I'm way more inclined to believe he's innocent on the basis that he's so very forward about telling his difficult life story. I guess only time will tell, but for now, I stand with you Russell.
