The smell comes from the nearby slum Dharavi (largest slum in Asia), just outside the Mumbai airport. One cannot generalize Mumbai with India. See Bangalore Airport.

2 of my Dr's are Indian... their accents are hilarious. One I understand well, the other I stare at with a dopey grin on my face until he repeats himself a little slower...I think half my issue with him is my knees are wobbly for how hot he is so I can't think or hear much anyhow! 😂🤣

He is right about gay issues. When I was in my younger years, up to my twenty’s it was absolutely not unusual to walk on the streets with my friends and holding each other’s shoulder. We were even dancing if girls were not available. And those they were thinking that we are gays, they will remember on the rest of their life calling us gays. And today? Can we shake hands without a sexual harrasment lawsuit? Even between the same gender? Who said that the US is equal to Sodoma and Gomorrah? A nameless person and a real man!!!

A lot of flaming in comments about the racial jokes. I get it, but if I can offer a flip-side observation: I'm white (Scottish decent) and Canadian, living most of my life in the U.S. Canada was the last stop on the Underground Railroad, where slaves from the South went to be free. Remember that & what it stands for, and I take pride in that. And full acknowledgement that I haven't lived there in decades, but from what I understand, TOLERANCE of diversity is embraced & celebrated. Very different from how the U.S. has metamorphized in the last especially 6 years, if not 20 years. I do enjoy "old" and "new" Russell material. I got razzed as a teenager about "Canada should just become the 51st state." But think about how if you speak English, go to another country, how you are perceived and JUDGED when they realize you're Canadian vs U.S.? I grew up in the years of Def Comedy Jam, and shout out to Talent the comic: "Don't take nothin' personal tonight. This is just [tongue click] COMEDY." If you can't laugh at yourselves, then you're not allowed to laugh at others. This is, at it's core, part of being Canadian, ya? There was a glitch at the 2010 Olympics opening ceremonies in Vancouver, and we made fun at ourselves, quite wittingly at the closing ceremonies. Russell is doing just that: no one is out of bounds (much like Don Rickles -- if you breathed, you were fair game). It's through humor that we can come together. So I implore everyone to stop being butt-hurt on the jokes. Acknowledge "that's a good one" and be willing to give/take a good rebuttal punch line in stride. [rant over]

Canada and US not the same at all ! Culturally , geographically, historically, militarily, demographically and politically! Every country , city , workplace , neighbourhood ,family etc has a culture. Older or younger, liked or not liked but culture exists. First nations have been in Canada for 1000's of years and have a culture as do the settlers who came later. So yea he is culturally Canadian NOT American!
