No argument from me, but given that Russell IS Indian I'm not sure that it's as big a stretch as his impression of other races. His 'Indian voice' is much the same whether its his parents or anyone else from the subcontinent.

Just hilarious, but does make me think that only 'white' people can be racist, as Russell can dig at any race (usually Chinese, Indian and African (and whites)) and no one blinks an eye - superb!

@@amossutandi Sure, but I think you've missed my point! He highlights the differences between race, culture and creed in many areas if the world. Whites are often painted as racist and I'm sure that's true in many cases (and places), but we're not alone - it's amusing to see the other side of the coin.

Not entirely true re Indians and hard labor, at least not when you go back to earlier generations. We have a large Sikh community in northern NSW and many of them came to Australia with little more than a willingness to work in the canefields - that's right up there with shearing as a physically demanding job, the difference being that shearers arent usually out in the hot sun and they don't have to contend with rats and snakes. I take my hat off to anyone who has ever harvested sugar cane by hand - incredibly tough bastards. Woolgoolga may not be immediately familiar to many Australians but we rarely have cultural festivals (not to mention Sikh temples) outside the big cities in Oz. Their descendants might not have to toil in the hot sun, but thats thanks to the earliest new arrivals being willing to do the hard yards. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bt17dJVjsJ3RaGg.html

But in the end he is what he is, a low class guy who makes us laugh. Tell me if he can do 1 percent of his comedy without any insults. But we laugh. Maybe thats all there is to it i guess. @@yba666_ Not trying to prove anything to anyone, and I doubt that he reads ANY of the comments. Agree with your other points even if I don't think he's a pioneer of 'insult comedy' - it seems to be the order of the day. Just as black comedians can get away with considerably more racial stereotyping than their white colleagues, Russell seems to get away with a lot more simply by virtue of his skin color. Would I pay to see Russell ? No, but I would pay to see Eddie Murphy, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Bill Burr, none of whom seem to let the feelings of their audience get in the way of their material.

@Arthur Watts Hi Arthur India as you can imagine and must know is a very diverse country.. Russell is mainly talking about Hindus, who predominantly are vegetarians and are known to be good in numbers etc. Most of the Indian Army does not have Hindus but other communities like Sikhs, Muslims, Christians or some Hindu backgrounds with warrior backgrounds like Rajputs etc. The NSW or even QLD example of indians working in the sugarcane industry is entirey true, however please note those are the Sikhs ( who wear turbans as part of religious beliefs around not cutting hair and hence covering their heads). Sikhs have a long history of labour around the world and hence it does not surprise me. Back to the topic though, Russell is right about Hindus, that said if he starts saying that specifically, he would get in more trouble than you can imagine.
