After the all start break wishers were #14 in the east without Bradley Beal! Russ led the wizards to a 10+ game win streak (without Bradley Beal) and put them in the 9 spot , to play in the ”play-in”tournament and they won out to take the 8 spot for the east playoff! Also russ. had D-league players on his team with out Bradley Beal! Mind you Bradley Beal didn’t comeback until after the “play-in” tournament ! So don’t come on here trying to belittle Russ greatness like that!

But there is no greatness right now, and if you’re pretending to see it you’re either not watching the games or you’re living in the past. He’s a player that depended on his athleticism and now that that’s dwindling, we’re left with a turnover prone point guard who can’t shoot or defend and that’s facts by any relevant statistical metric and the eye test. He’s a trash talker and gets paid millions to play a sport that quite frankly, he’s not playing very well right now. He can take the criticism. You get compared to your peers, and when you’re sub-par compared to those peers, you’re judged accordingly.

The only difference is now his athleticism can’t make up for his inefficiency offensively and defensively. People are judged based on expectations and the bare minimum for Westbrooks expectations are to be a starting point guard that helps his team. He isn’t doing that. You don’t need to be an athlete to make excuses for someone when all they’re showing us is things we’ve always seen, just now it isn’t masked by youth and athleticism. It is what it is but he’s not good right now. But keep making excuses for him. I’m sure he has something left in the tank. He could go on a shitty team and average a triple double probably. He can’t play proper basketball that leads to consistent winning though. We’re almost done with the regular season and he has yet to prove that. “Sound like you never played organized basketball” is one of the most irrelevant things you could have said. He gives up on defense, bricks free throws, airballs midranges, and shoots one of the lowest 3 point percentages in the league (statically he’s the worst shooter all around in the league, maybe only behind Julius Randle). “Nothing physical” is a ridiculous assumption that has no possibly way to even be measured. All you’re doing is making excuses for him. I’m judging him on an nba starting level and on that level, he’s not performing. Anyone with eyes that work would agree.
