Okay I'm sorry but stop talking about his shot percentage. He played 41 minutes and in the 7 MINUTES he sat the thunder went -15. He was basically forced to go back in the game during his rest time while harden got to sit over there and watch his team crawl to a lead and then he got to come in and chomp at the bit. Just shows u how much Russ has to do every night. If he had several weapons like Houston does maybe he could play more efficiently and not exhaust himself every night.

This was painfully hard to watch. As a Westbrook and OKC fan, it was so sad to see how easily Billy Donovan gave the game away. "We're up by 15? Let's take out Russ." "Russ is shooting 60%? Let's rest him." It was just terrible! Then you add in the fact that Harden literally MAKES people "foul" him, while Westbrook has to get hit in his face in order to get a call. It's demoralizing, to be playing your heart out, then sit down for TWO MINUTES, and see your 12 point lead vanish before your eyes. How can anyone hate on Russ for playing hero ball when he is the only offensive playmaker on the floor!?! Billy decided that he "Can't play Kanter", yet he put in Sabonis and Singler who have no business closing a playoff game. I've never been more disgusted by one game in my life. Sad sad day for OKC fans and basketball lovers alike. When Harden has 30 points on 3 made shots, I know that something is not right. He is so lucky to be able to sit on the bench while his team goes on a 12-0 run. Sucks to be the MVP when your coach doesn't understand value.

They were up 12 and Westbrook was making shots and then he went to the bench for like 1 minute and Houston cut it to 3 like it's nothing. When Westbrook is on the bench you have to see how lost his team looks. I know he shot 4/18 in the fourth but it shouldn't have to win or lose with Westbrook. Not to mention Harden was playing like trash but was literally living at the line. At one point he had 20 points on 2 field goals and 16 free throws. It's all good though, Westbrook can't be clutch every game. Hopefully it's a series after these games in Okc.

How many reasons can you give me why it was allegedly westbrooks fault they lost? Let me ask you this. Russel is a beast but unfortunately, the Russell Westbrook parade will come to an end in the playoffs after a historic regular season. This isn't the Orlando Magic anymore, you're up against playoff teams and championship contenders. For general NBA fans that follow the game from afar you're going to see something the media didn't show you very much of. Whereas die-hard and knowledgeable NBA fans will understand what's inevitably coming for Russ as the overall competition has elevated. Fewer Triple-Doubles, more missed shots, lots of turnovers, highly inefficient and not making his teammates better type performances. It's sad, but it's the sad truth. We love Russell Westbrook, but his team can never overachieve.

For real though, stop trying to compare Harden's game to Westbrook's game. Look at the difference in talent they have around them. Westbrook shot 13-25 through 3 quarters and as soon as he sat down, their 15 point lead disappeared. With his team up 3 at the end of the third, the Thunder were a +18 with Westbrook on the court and a -15 with him off. Harden got to rest while his team dropped 3s. It's also worth noting that Harden only shot 41% and flopped like crazy to get his FTs. I'm not biased towards either player. They're both very talented players, but it's clear who has the more talented team. Stop hating off the box score. And yes, I'm well aware he went 4-18 in the 4th. His supporting cast is 2006-2010 Cavs bad, but it still doesn't excuse him having a terrible 4th quarter and not trusting his teammates (3 of them shot 50%). 18 shots in a quarter is way too many. I don't see the series returning to Houston if he doesn't get his teammates involved in the 4th.
