This was his best season in my opinion. That last major injury, which I believe was his quad injury, was the injury that took most of his speed away. He hasn’t been the same since. It’s amazing that a player like him, that plays like him could last as long as he did. He was rolling, and so were the Rockets and then the pandemic happened. Maybe they win, maybe they don’t. But that version of Westbrook was the best. Incredible that he played at a high level for about 12 years playing that way.

The boy and the Mistake actually the fingers are what was causing his shooting problems earlier in the season while everyone was piling on him EVEN THOUGH it was obvious his hand was wrapped. His stats and efficiency rose dramatically as soon as his fingers healed.....

I'm not sure Capela always fit in to what the team ultimately wanted to do, I will definitely miss his rebounding and rim presence. Although on offense he was limited as most of his points came off lob passes and passes down low to him in the paint, he really had no post game to speak of. Atlanta is probably a better fit for him.

@@jptrece8890 a guy like Joakim Noah would be nice. He is a big body who can guard AD, Jokic, Gobert etc., he can give you 15 solid minutes and he can defend and rebound inside. We still can play small ball but it will not work all the time playing it 48 minutes. GSW had Zaza, McGee and West when they were playing small ball. You need to have some size.

This Westbrook seems to have a lot higher basketball IQ than OKC Westbrook. He’s clearly maturing. Like, look at 0:41. In most situations he probably would have put up a bad mid range jumper, but now he’s utilizing his superstar finishing skills more. He’s playing much more efficiently while still putting up incredible rebounding and assist numbers.

All Houston needs is a big body to throw at AD, Jokic, Gobert and every other big guy, who can give you 15-17 minutes. They can play small ball but it will not work all the time playing 48 minutes. When GSW were playing small ball they still had bigs like McGee, Zaza and West off the bench. Get a guy like Joakim Noah.

Karl Williams regardless of what the TWO captains thought when they had to draft their team. Westbrook is one of the most respected veterans in the league, just listen to any interview by any of the great players in the league

How teams talk about other players that stays in locker rooms are totally different than what they will leak to the media. Basic. But yeah he's respected, he should be respected because he has an alpha persona that has had proven REGULAR seasons of excellence. But do the top guys in the league want his energy around for an 82 game schedule, i don't think so. He's tough to play with and coach and anybody who analyses his body language and attitude would know that.

It's not actually a big problem for the Rockets to play Smallball, ya'll gotta remember Westbrook is one of the Best if not the Best Rebounding PG, plus he has Defense as well playmaking great Mid Range and he's getting good at 3pt shots as well, he's fast and look at his body type he's a pure bully PG.
