Fiona Hill is an British-American political scientist, former deputy assistant to the president and senior director for European and Russian affairs on the US National Security Council. The lecturer has a reputation as one of the world's best political scientists - specialists in Russia’s questions.
According to Gill, pre-revolutionary Russia is the birthplace of the ideology of terrorism. Her and Clifford Gaddy's book The Siberian Curse (2003) is considered as one of the most cited works among books and articles on Russia's development prospects published since the beginning of the century, as well as an economic analysis of modern Russia Energy.
Hill also testified publicly in Congress in the case of the impeachment of President Donald Trump, where she refuted the accusation of alleged Ukrainian interference in the 2016 US presidential election. After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Hill said she believed World War III had begun.

I appreciate the discussion and also as a Romanian I do appreciate our similarities over the years. Some of these empires you guys mentioned, we had to deal with them at one point or another in time. It's quite surprising we are still here, and nobody actually is saying we don't exist either.

The information analysis, what they're told & what they want to believe applies to all autocratic leadership's ? The ones that end up on the top of the greasy pole don't necessarily have to have a depth of intellect to get there ? Just the neck & opportunity & chance is enough ? 'Ruthlessness' ! fits the bill ?

1:10:43 I understand your frustration at India but look at from Indian Govt and Indian peoples point of view. Indian people, the citizenry is with Ukraine but the Indian Govt's hand are tied because of two major issues that the Govt has to deal with both related to its security. 1) India depends upon Russia for its defense needs, almost 60 to 65 % of equipment are Russian made, but it is coming down but slowly. The Indian defense still needs Russian spare parts, If Putin decides not to send in the spares , it will be music to Xi and ccps's ears and it may give xi jing ping new ideas. 2) To check mate china and their buddy pakistan or to keep them at bay we(India) need our defense sector and forces to be functional, prepared and ready at all times 24/7/365. This directly reinforces the point 1 above. If for any reason it becomes clear that we are out of Russian spares or "spark plugs" then china is going to test again as they did in Galwan, Himalayas in June 2020. India has helped Ukraine with lots of medical supplies, food stuff etc. So do not be judge mental or too critical of India. Look at India's neighborhood, we are in a dangerous one.
