Portugal indeed deserved that win. They had at least 2-3 scoring chances, but the Russian goalie was superb today. If it wasn't for Igor A. it would be alike 3:0. Russia lacked scoring chances, ball possession was low, low shots on goal. It will be a very difficult game for Russia vs Mexico. They must win or ConfedCup for them will be over. Mexico needs a draw to advance.

Portugal has improved a lot compared to the Mexico game, especially the defense. Defense was solid, Ronaldo was good, but the team should have finished the game earlier, they had many chances to score to make it 0-2 or 0-3.
