Russia's electronic warfare has created problems for US-made precision weaponry in Ukraine, Business Insider reported. Russian systems have reportedly reduced the effectiveness of such weaponry as the HIMARS-fired GMLRS and air-launched JDAMS, the report said.
Ukraine has employed US precision weapons, such as the GMLRS and JDAMS, throughout the war. However, widespread Russian electronic warfare is regularly diminishing the effectiveness of these weapons.
Precision systems, Excalibur and GMLRS, see "shockingly decreased accuracy because of jamming," the report added.

Yes...GPS jammers are interfering...IF they are in range of where the shells, rockets, missiles or bombs are coming to. Unfortunately russia cant put a GPS jammer every mile across the entire 900 mile frontline so artillery is still getting through. And we see by all the refineries and oil depots getting hit in russia, they arent protected AT ALL! so everything is still getting hit there. I also saw a video of a new "Seeker" technology the USA just made....and they are strapping those to JDAMS. They are designed to "seek" GPS jammers and targets them specifically.......so once they are taken out near high value targets, then all the HIMARS, ATACMS, GLSDBs and Excalibur rounds have full accurracy again! Leave it to the USA to figure out a way to counter anything the russians come up with!

@gibbs677bg This is old news. Jammers only work "IF" you have one. The vast majority don't have. Jammers have very limited range. Ukrainians are dropping grenades from higher altitude. A good operator is still very accurate. Jammers only work on 1 or 2 frequencies out of 100's of possibilities. Ukraine is already deploying drones that lock onto the target outside of range and when jammed still hit the target. They're also starting to utilize drones that now target the jammers. They'll become more prevalent. The U.S. has already developed advanced INS systems that don't require GPS or any external input and will soon have an accuracy of 1 meter. AI will soon make nearly all electronic warfare useless.

For all the Ukrainian fan boys Russian haters, that are pointing out the fact that these missiles/rockets/drones etc.. has hit many targets, the video isn’t insinuating that these jammers are 100% effective. Of course some strikes get through! Russia doesn’t have these systems blanketing the entire Ukraine and parts of the Russian territory where Ukraine has struck. That impossible. However, the areas where these Electronic Weapons are working, they are highly effective and stopped many potential strikes. As a matter of fact, this isn’t new news. In one particular incident sometime last year, Ukraine themselves have spoke and showed footage of a few drones that were electronically hi jacked, taken over by Russian electronics warfare forces and the drones started attacking Ukrainian positions. I don’t know what it will take for you Azov Nazi lovers to realize that rust Russia had on them the first few months of the war has been shaken off. If you get out of your bias, hypocritical and delusional ways, you too will see that Russia has adapted and developed it’s strategic capabilities.

They're not going to claim Ukraine as their own territory, it will only bring them closer to NATO border,. They're attacking Ukraine to bring negotiations on table and make Ukraine as a buffer zone between NATO and Russialand,. Ukraine is not the US, either. Russia is failing miserably, too, against an enemy that does not have a Navy or much of an Air Force. And this news overstates Russian electronic warfare capability. All those electronic warfare systems can be quickly taken out by anti-radiation weapons. The US already has those, and these will be supplied to Ukraine as soon as F-16s get operational.

This story is a partial problem. Since the 1960s, NATO uses Inertial Navigation Systems that work without GPS, have a very high degree of accuracy and cannot be jammed. GPS is only used as a plus, to help cruise missiles and the like to verify their path and correct it's impact at the last moment.

it is quantity what counts, not quality in this case. US is waking up now a little bit too late. Wargames they play in the US is worthless in Ukraine. Russia started a warindustry like the germans did before starting WW2. US was leading this war in a distance, telling and supplying Ukraine what to do and the needs but are totally wrong. That's what I observed in the videos. Ukraine's missiles missed their target a few feet away and with little devastation unlike the Russian missiles that hit its target almost dead center and with a very high explosion. And why is that?

Your talking as if Russia has a country wide system all across Ukraine and in their territories where Ukraine sends drones or rockets. However, in the areas where they are working these systems, they are highly effective. In fact this isn’t even new!

As the US led NATO is planning to improve its precision weapons against Russia EW systems, Russia will also upgrade, so at any point Russia will still be ahead of them. Ukraine better negotiate with Russia before it's too late.
