+ Borscht (Russian soup)
+ Pelmeni Varyonye (boiled meat dumplings)
+ Samsa (pirogi with lamb and potato filling)
Featured restaurant: Troika
Address in English: 164-1 Itaewon-ro, Itaewon 1(il)-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, South Korea (5th floor)
Address in Korean: 서울특별시 용산구 이태원로 164-1 5층

It was pretty much authentic and even the colour of borsch was what we usually get to have when we cook it at home (though it is really true it might differ depending on how you cook it and what you put in it, i personally have tried even a GREEN colour borsch but that's a whole new story) and the other items on the menu did really seem so RUSSIAN, something that i would cook for myself at home if I would crave something traditional and even more usual. Also, it was the very first video of yours I have ever watched, just wanted to know what of the Russian food they have in Seoul and I was so surprised of how cute you are (in a good way, not girly cute but just nice-nice-nice hahah) and how delicate your approaching manner is. Thumbsssss upp!! Btw, when you've tried to say TRRROIKA as we do it, it ended up sounding absolutely legit hahaha true

Your Troika is just right.) Pirozhki (many) pirozhok (single), not piroshki. Pirog - commonly is a main dish, big pie to serve for at least a party of ppl. When we says: Pirogi - means individual baked pies. Pirozhok - is an individual small pie, in cuter, smaller verbal form. Like dog and doggy.) Borscht is always magenta, because of beetroots. But it is a possibility of discoloration. Beets are darkening fast if they didn't put in a bit of lemon juice or vinegar on the final stage of cooking. So it looks like a 2-3 days old soup without preservative ingredients. Samosa is not a russian traditional pie, it's middle east/indian, but many ppl likes it, including me. Blinchiki are also great with curd or cottage cheese, and sweet addition of jam, honey, or condensed milk. Or they are good with turkey and walnut, or salmon or caviar. Taste it! I can also recommend some traditional salads like dressed herring "shuba" or christmas standard russian salad.

I’m Russian and this video is very cute! Also your pronunciation is better than most that I heard! And yeah I’ve never heard about the difference between pirogi and pirozhki. Maybe it’s just that pirogi can be the bigger ones like pies and pirozhki are pretty small. But you can call both just pirogi

This type of borjsh is the same me and my mum do! I personally prefer this type more because the flavour is just better, hahaha I can't explain it properly. But the magenta one uses much of the fresh beet and the lighter colour one we focus more on the taste of the cabbage and tomato paste and usually we use pickled beet, which doesn't have this weird (sorry for using that word) flavour. ^^ I was really surprised the food looks really authentic! But we mostly eat Blini as a dessert with jam instead of cabbage :) but there are many different ways
