Russian Listening Practice for Beginners (part 2). You will significantly improve your Russian listening skills with this video series! Each lesson is designed for you to follow along and practice your listening skills. You'll be surprised at how quickly you can learn new words, phrases, and questions in Russian by just hearing them over and over again.
ABOUT
Learning Russian is not easy, that's why we created the Russian Level 1 channel. It's full of study resources created for beginner students of the Russian language. All Russian words and phrases in our lessons are translated into English and transliterated into Latin characters. They are repeated two to three times in both slow and fast Russian so that you can clearly hear the correct pronunciation. You'll be able to learn Russian with Russian Level 1 even if you're a complete beginner!
Our lessons cover useful Russian phrases for absolute beginners, most common Russian words with examples, Russian sentences used in daily life, basic Russian vocabulary with pictures, phrases you need for daily conversations in Russian, useful expressions in Russian, easy phrases that every Russian beginner must know, conversational Russian phrases, and so much more! You will also get lots of opportunities to practice your Russian speaking and listening skills with our unique lessons.

This is very useful because so many Russian words don't seem to be pronounced the way they are spelled.

That´s true! Written Russian and spoken Russian are very different from each other

Hello Kristina, would it be possible in future videos to put make the female voice pronounce the female version of some phrases like я уверен/я уверена or я певец/я певица. Thank you for al the great contents you put out!

Well, you are the teacher; so I defer to you. But it seemed to me that the man spoke too fast. I had no idea what he was saying. When I saw the text in Russian, I could figure much of it out. And the woman didn't speak slowly! But I was raised in the South (of the US) and we don't speak at breakneck speed!

The man speaks at a regular conversational speed, it´s not too fast. And the audio of the woman was slowed down by about 30%, so yes, it´s slow. It seems fast to you because you´re probably not accustomed to understand Russian by ear. It´s common when beginners can understand written text but don´t understand when the same text is narrated. You simply need to practice your listening skills!
