When I was in Russia, I actually found out that they don't like McDonald's so much, they mostly prefer BK and KFC. I'd usually tell my friends "yo let's ask for some delivery" and always had to fight with them because I wanted McDonald's and they wanted either BK or KFC. Of course that's just my experience but the fact that McDonald's left Russia while burger king and KFC are still there 8 months later pretty much confirms McDonald's don't get so much profit from Russia lol

USA MacDonald's service has gotten terrible. The kids they're hiring aren't the best workers, they often can't make change, they get orders messed up and they often forget napkins, condiments, straws and coffee cream. MacDonald's may have started in America, but since Roy Krock stopped being the CEO the service has gotten terrible. MacDonald's in America is on the way towards bankruptcy and Burger King isn't far behind. Glad to see they're still doing well in Russia-albeit under a different name.

While there is a great deal of misinformation within all of the United States, the difference is that within this misinformation is often critical of the government (see Fox News), whereas within the Russian Federation we see that information and misinformation only comes from media organizations who supports the Russian President. And any misinformation or information within the Russian Federation from the opposition parties never gets to reach the mainstream airwaves. Again though I send my love to all of Russias people and hope that you may find a peaceful resolution to this problem which well ensure long lasting peace and prosperity to Russians and Ukrainians alike ✌️❤

Interesting video, but I have a comment about salaries. In the Balkans (also Slavs...) we newver quote the Gross Salary in the US, but rather "what stays in our pockets - salary" (pension is included and health insurance is included). We also don't pay taxes at the end of the year. IDK how it's expressed in Russia, but those 800 $/month can easily be 1200-1500 after "401k", "health", "dental" and yearly TAX
@intrepidsouls
@intrepidsouls 6 күн бұрын
It’s the same way in Russia. Nobody mentions their salary before tax, because the tax on your salary is paid by your employer, not you. All the other “401k”, medical, etc, taxes are also the employer’s responsibility

Great video! Being russian it's always interesting to see usual things from different perspective Of Raf coffe You mentioned - it's an espresso with a lot of hot cream + syrup sometimes. There is nice story behind the name - in erly 2010's in one of Moscow's specialty coffe places there was a regular client - film director with the name Raphael. Once he ordered "something new" and barista swapped milk in latte for cream. Everyone kind of liked it and started asking for "Raphael coffe", then it shorted to "Raf". The drink became popular, but only +/- in borders of former USSR, for whatever reason

To be honest Macdonald's fastfood is so popular in Russia because we don't have a very developed taste and consider this delicious. If you go to Western Europe in some countries McDonald's is in the minority among restaurants because it's not popular because of the quality of the food. Where I live now, there are only a couple of Macdonald's restaurants in the whole city, while in Russia they are almost at every metro station.

So Russian people visiting "The Tochka" don't finance the American economy, but rather invest money into their own Russian economy.
