This is so helpful if you want to improve your Russian skills. Many thanks for this approach. I love Gogol´s Vij. Do you think we could enjoy the story in a graded version? :-) I really appreciate what you do for us. It is extremely beneficial.

I like the format. I will have to listen to it several times to understand it all. I would actually prefer more modern texts, however, to learn the language spoken now, not a century or two ago. I have read one of your story books, the Woman with the Dog and Anna Karenina, but they aren't modern texts. I also have the 2 movies you've done, which are more modern language, but I haven't had time to work with them. Thank you for providing us with great opportunities to learn your language.

@pupka173
@pupka173 2 жыл бұрын
Да, ударение ставится на букву "О".
@BoostYourRussian
@BoostYourRussian 2 жыл бұрын
The stress falls on "O" though many people mispronounce it and say "ожИл"

Thanks for your feedback! The text is not easy at all, so I thought I should slow down in order to give students some time to process unknown words

If it's too slow for you, increase the playback speed in the 'settings' option of the video - 1.5 ought to do it.
