Very useful these videos. But some translations I think are not correct: коммунальный is public, communal, not utility. приличные means decent, proper, not high.

That seems a good method, might be neat to see that done with movies. Like if the movie Aliens (1986) were having a Russian translation (does it?) and then going scene by scene with each phrase like this, that would be awesome.

Yes, I have read some of the Lingo Mastery graded readers and enjoy them very much. I am planning to try Olly Richards readers too. Another thing that works well 😢for intermediate students is to try reading any book you know very in your own language. The Harry Potter books have been translated into almost every language. If, like me, you have them nearly memorized in English it might be good to try them in your target language. Also, the Kindle edition has a dictionary and translate function so you won't miss the accent marks too much. It is also fun to see how the translator handled certain "problems" like the 'I am Lord Voldemort - Tom Marvolo Riddle' anagram but maybe only someone with a background in linguistics would care about that.
