I got a dumb question, why didn't they use a sloped roof across the trench? Having a flat roof net would just capture and hold dropping bombs mid air and still have significant fragmentation area. A sloped one would just roll the mortar shell to the top side out from the trench instead of into the area of the trench. Although mortar upon contact of a hard surface would detonate.

@@kaiser98berlinAgree...jamming device best and fastest solution as long as it is not jammed by enemy or as long as drones are on those frequencies or exposed to any jamming. Russians are starting to use drones without Wi-Fi connection with 5km long thin wires (like Kornet ATGM) for guiding drones. No jammer or electronic warfare works against those drones.

Not one of those panels or screens are at an angle to bounce the munition of to the side, and then has thicker sandbags, concrete, or another protective layer from about waste height to stop the fragmentation from that munition. Just simple ideas to at least try to stop drone drops while you figure out fpv attack defense.

As far as I understood the angle of the panels is to get as much sun light reflection towards the drones if possible. And yes it would make sense to help ricocheting fragments away from the trenches.

They need a forward drone with thermal cameras to see through the netting and identify targets. Then have an FPV drone blow up the trench cover and another one go into the hole created by the 1st. They should learn to use FPV planes too. You can get more penetration with a faster plane, and you lose fewer parts. Planes don't need a flight controller. They only need 1 motor. Maybe 2 motors if it's a heavier payload. And a receiver. The plane itself can be made of cardboard or plastic or foam. You don't need a carbon fiber frame like the quadcopters have.

well considering now the drones wont see russians as easily unlike ukrainians who are all in the open and easy targets for drones what both sides use hella much it just means edge for russia that ukrainians are more easily killed and lose much higher numbers to drones dropping grenades than russia. so tell me even 1 reason why it wouldnt be clever ?

and for example if you look at russias defense lines compared to ukrainians defence lines, russias was impossible to ukrain to penetrate and ukrain tactically destroyed half of its combat battalions (information from french militarys leaked secred documents) on the failed counterattack while russia already penetrated ukrains second line of defence so... anyway you look at this russians are just much better at defending than ukrainians 😅

Anytime your target's exact location is harder to pinpoint, you're going to take longer to acquire a location, which exposes you to longer danger times to all those who have eyes on you. This is where we need the Ukrainians to start installing AI targeting software to help alert them to motion detection & oh so much more. I don't want to give anything away, but that software's already here, today. They have to get their coders on this project on the double IMO.
