In this video you'll see some popular street food of Russia and also some dishes typical to the Udmurt region.
The video was made in Izhevsk, which is the capital of the Udmurt Republic where Udmurt people live. Street food here is very much affected by the traditional cuisine of the native people that live in this area. So, be ready to see some delicious street food with an Udmurt twist! :)

The food looks delicious. 😋 I wonder if all these are overlooked & underrated because I never heard of them before, but looks like they deserve to be popular. Mind you, I'm from the US, so I could be wrong about these not being popular. By the way, pelmeni looks kinda like ravioli without marinara. Shawarma looks like a burrito but with very thin flatbread instead of a flour tortilla. By the way, I'm Hispanic in the US with Mexican background, that's why I say burrito. It looks somewhat similar. I would say which is my favorite choice to try, but they all look so good, I can't just choose one. I'd buy them all, honestly. lol Anyway, I want to thank Наташа Курнаева from Yeah Russia KZfaq channel for recommending to see your channel. 🙂 Nice to meet you! Здравствуйте from west Texas, USA! 👋🏼

@@elenastravels I don't mind. I'd like to try them out before I die. haha I've been interested in Russia, it's culture, history, language, etc since 1998 or '99 when I was 8 or 9 years old. Very long time, but I still hold the interest and I thank the internet for me to able to access to Russian everything. I've been picking up in trying to learn Russian again, and I hope one of these days, I get to finally visit Russia. I'm just disappointed that the US and Russia can't seen to keep good relations, especially with our new president Joe Biden stupidly calling Putin a killer and Putin responding back to Biden "I wish you good health," a subtle yet clever insult, knowing that Biden really isn't in good health. Despite the bad, I still have love and interest in Russia. 🙂

@@samuelmartinez6344 that's exciting! Why have you been interested in Russia? :) You definitely should visit Russia one day! It's quite different from the US :) Yeah, the relationships between our countries haven't been that nice unfortunately. But I still have many friends from the US and think it's a beautiful country! I wish everyone could live in peace.

@@elenastravels Well, since the late 90s as a lil kid, I saw mentions of Russian history thru educational video games, saw St. Basil, Kremlin, Tsar Cannon, learned about Ivan The Terrible, then saw more about Russia thru encyclopedias and spy video games, where I saw cool Russian letters, they talked so cool, creepy & dark settings of USSR, gulags, abandoned buildings, sad stories, cold cloudy and snowy weather, and crazy & shocking TV moments, like, where a woman reporter strips while doing newscasts or crazy police videos of crimes in USSR/post-USSR times. I hope you understand I was just a little kid and my curiosity of the world then was very big. Russia was THE country I wanted to explore, like a dream to visit this interesting unknown world people keep talking bad about. I don't buy the usual "evil red commie" idea a lot of US people say, especially the media. I never judge people of a country by their government. It's not fair to the people. Plus, folks think of Stalin, gulags, torture, communism, want to take over the world. I hate it because Russian people are so nice and genuine (which I respect so much) despite not smiling so much as here. It's not a bad thing though. It's just culture difference. Plus, the old Soviet vibes has its own unique appeal. Georgia, Moldova, and lesser-known little former USSR countries still have old Soviet landmarks, thanks to KZfaqrs 'bald and bankrupt' and 'Alina McLeod,' who traveled & showed places around there. Whether it looks beautiful or gloomy, I still find their unique appeal interesting. 👍 Sorry for "bible-sized" response, but I'm just in the good mood to let out my whole personal honest response to you about my interest in Russia everything. 🙂
