I've gotten a chance to sample Russian Tea Oud at a recent local fragrance meet. Only sampled it on blotter but it did smell like Tom Ford's Ombre Leather. The owner of the bottle also confirmed it was his experience with full wearings (he cursed paying euro 650 for it haha!). I've sampled the original Russian Tea ages ago, and I think that had a stronger tea direction. Haven't had a chance to experience a real Russian tea event but I hope to one day. Ambre Extreme is one of my nemesis. There's something like it in Tango (Cecile told me it isn't)...and that prevented me from getting a full size bottle. A 35ml bottle is good enough for me. One spray is very potent 😅

Ah yes, the Expensive Ouds versions! I have not managed to test any infact. Think I will stick with the original. Russian Tea Ceremony is fun to attend at least once. Yes, I don't understand why some times perfumers overdose Amberwoods. Maybe they are afraid people will complain about the performance.

@@ScentZatura She said she used very very little. It could also be personal sensitivity. Her Puredistance's Sheiduna also affected me the same way. You should give the ouds a try if you see it in stores. Curious to hear your thoughts. The owner off the Russian Oud bottle and another friend of his said they sampled it properly and the oud is some type of impressionistic woodiness. Doesn't really come across as artisanal oud. They suspect its probably a farmed variety.

This is one of those that I blind bought because of the hype and then it sat at the back of my collection for years. Could never figure out when to wear it. I'll spray it today as my SOTD. Great review Pradeep!
