I prefer the look of the GP-25. I also feel that the the sights fit better on the left side, like the GP-25, not the right side. They’re both very beautiful and my favourite grenade launcher.

I really like how this was developed. Realizing the GP-30 was just to simple and stripped down, they went about simply making the GP-25 the way that they wanted to in the first place. Boom, GP-34. I'm still puzzled what would make them put the quadrant sight on the right side instead of the left where it belongs. Anyways, I love the UBGL the way the Russians designed it, and it's a super deadly weapon given it's tiny size. I helped train Afghan Soldiers how to use them and really grew to liking the GP-25 specifically. Thanks for uploading this!

The Russians have out-classed us, americans: easy to load, no shell to eject and become a Taliban IED and super easy to operate grenade launcher. Hell, the rounds are lighter than our 40mm! Way to go!

The caseless aspect is cool but they really aren't better. The range on these are limited compared to a 40mm NATO chambering and they are slower to operate. There is also a minor potential safety hazard with the fingers in the way of the barrel during loading which has caused accidents in the past. The Russian's standalone variants are far superior to the GP25. The Russians basically want every rifleman to be a grenadier. That has merits but the issue is also that 40mm is way less effective than direct fire, and you get riflemen potentially wasting time on a grenade, not realizing how ineffective it is. The American approach generally is that only the SL having 40mm. The SL does not suck himself into the fight, he keeps aware of the big picture. Consequentially he can't be focusing on direct firing, but he can spot difficult to engage targets and quickly lob some grenades in that direction for spotting and to try and drive them out of cover for others to be able to engage. To me this makes more sense, to have one grenadier with a heavier but more capable platform, and give it to the guy who won't really be fighting all that much.

@@DaveSmith-cp5kj *For 12 years of service in the Russian army, I did not hear anyone in such a way to tear my fingers, it was probably only with the Americans! ;-)*

The launcher probably would've had greater range, if it's barrel was just slightly longer. Just saying.

It’s a caseless round, so it probably has a whole lot more kick than a 320 or a 203

The AN-94 is also the only rifle in Russian service capable of mounting a UBGL and a bayonet simultaneously
