Apparently Putin’s first name “Vladimir” is a combination of владеть мир (I don’t know the correct “declension” of the word in this context), which should mean: “he, who owns the world”, but since mir also means peace you can also translate it as: “peaceful leader”. Never seen a name that describes someone so well but yet it doesn’t. Had a good laugh :D

Смею вас уверить, в последнее время, всё чаще. К сожаленью, ещё достаточно большой процент граждан России считает, что может вернуться ситуация до 24 февраля с.г.... когда ,действительно, действие, описываемое изучаемым в данном видео глаголом, было крайне редким...на всех уровнях.

I know this might be a dumb question since everyone has their own pace. But I wanna read "Преступление и наказание" and "война и мир" in their original forms. Since they're from the same time(1866 & 1865 respectively) the russian from that time should be different. I speak Bangla(mother tongue) & English fluently. I have trouble reading texts from that era even in my fluent languages as well. I had to get dictionary help to finish Sherlock Holmes. So, do I have to study like a scholar to read those two Russian novels or is it easy to read even if I just know modern Russian??? I need your suggestion.

Hello Dear Daria … I believe you are still in the states [good] - looking at your Halloween blogs.. You have really helped with Russian studies [you started me with the alphabet - and many basics] and coming back to you today I see I need to work with your training again.. life has been busy and complicated - I have spent 55 days on duo practicing and making some progress !! I have a fiancée in central Siberia, now for 2.5 years.. I have only been able to come to Russia once to visit [Jan 2022].. I am thinking of coming back in Feb 2023.. but worried the I may have issues because of my US passport? Idk.. do you know of US and Europeans still visiting Moscow etc? [Huge] Thank you for your all your teaching, etc Sorry everything looks so grave in Russia .. very sad really?!!
