this video is very useful for a russian learner. i am learning 1000 russian phrases in index cards.. all those russian phrases really have excercized my brain very well!! I can recall many of them by heart!! My next step is too buy a russian application for my new smart phone! thank you folks for this great lesson!!

I just started learning Russian language since last 2 months. At first, it was really hard to learn Russian because the Cyrillic alphabet is really confusing. Once you have mastered the Cyrillic alphabet, it will a bit easier to read in Russian (although you might have no idea what the word means). Apart from learning Russian through Duolingo app, I found this Easy Russian channel is very helpful since it involves street conversations.

Its great. After two years of R. classes, I have a basic understanding. With these I can extend my vocabulary, listening, use of verbs and sentence structures and because it are real conversations you put more confident in the sentences.

This video has some very useful phrases. I think the OP should re-edit (maybe try to cut some of the ambient noise from the fountain) and take out the Latin alphabet transliteration of the Cyrillic. I have seen a lot of viewers on other videos complain about this. For me it makes focusing on either the Cyrillic words or the English translation difficult. Thanks Easy Language team!

learn 1000 russian phrases on youtube. those sentences will help you a great deal with pronunciation and sounds!

Russian is not as phonetic as people say. It’s certainly better than English, but it isn’t as phonetic as German, Italian, and Spanish. I have a lot of work ahead of me to get this sound system down. I’ve done it before with German, but that took me 10 years. Hopefully this won’t take that long.

In reality, even a fellow American might give me confusing directions in English, our common language. Recently, a stranger insisted there were no restaurants in the area because he had never given it any thought. But in truth, there was a restaurant a block away. If I were in Russia, I would probably be shy, and hope to find a place without any human assistance, only a Garmin locator. But that is my pride talking. I hate it when I fear people think I am another useless, hopelessly confused American tourist.

Please do not use latin alphabet for subtitles. We are hearing the sounds, following the russian subtitles. Also trying to check the translation. But theres something between russian and its english translation always catching my attention. I cant watch like that and close the video. Please do not use that phonetic subtitles.
