Привет из Австрии! This is a great course. I did a beginning Russian course decades ago but had to drop it for lack of time. Always wanted to continue and this channel is giving me the perfect tools to finally do so. I love the structure of the lessons and being able to go at my own pace depending on how much of the material is new to me and how much I remember from back then. Thank you so much for your efforts in providing this amazing content!

May I rephrase it a bit, as a native speaker would say? Здравствуйте, Настя! Я читаю каждый день. У меня есть дом, справа от него находится магазин, а слева -- Храм. Настя, вы очень молоды! Спасибо за урок! До завтра, Настя! Good luck in learning Russian!

i am realising when i try to just listen not see the board and try to write in my note book the Q and A, dialogues and story , my spelling & thinking if voiced unvoiced, if there is a vowel reduction etc is massively improving. Now i am aware of all the words you have taught us till now. I am able to see them and recognise the inner feeling "no it doesn't look like that" when i am spelling it wrong

At 28:50 I was wondering what the difference is between A and и in those sentences because with both letters you translated them as ''And''?
@dariaobraztsova7298
@dariaobraztsova7298 2 ай бұрын
И is normal 'and'. А is a 'but/and' used when the topic shifts. Similar to the English 'and then' or 'yes, but'. Hopefully this clears things up :)

In the short story, when talking about your house, how do you differentiate between the store is on the left versus (my house) is on the left of the store?
@jessec4677
@jessec4677 10 ай бұрын
This is what I was wondering, too! I think (I'm just learning, also) that since there is no "is" in Russian.. Literally translated, we are saying "To the right, store". I think to us, it's more "to the right is store". I think it's similar to English, we would say "my house is to the right OF the store" and I THINK in Russian maybe мой дом справа от магазина. Hopefully a Russian speaker will tell me if I am butchering this beautiful yet difficult language, lol.
@Russianlanguage
@Russianlanguage 5 ай бұрын
@@jessec4677 Да, всё верно. В русском языке происходит сокращение предложений, если по смыслу в контексте понятно о чём идёт речь -- "Справа (от дома) находится магазин, а слева (от дома) находится станция метро.👌

@@Russianlanguage It did confuse me too, because I know dog is female, but in this lesseon you ask what kind of character has HE? And you write it in male as well. I was wondering why that is? Should it not be what kind of character has SHE? The answer to this question in this lesson is also given in male. Why is that? Why is it not SHE has a good character? Or are these questions meant to be about the boy who owns the dog and the question is what character does the boy have?
@Russianlanguage
@Russianlanguage Ай бұрын
