This is a RUST trap base design video for The Bundy Trap Base. Not only is this trap base the most compact and cheapest trap base that we could come up with but it is also insane how efficient it is. We managed to trap over 15 people across the day or so we were using it, not bad for a 2x1 trap base.

It’s a really cool trick with the shotgun traps! I had been testing with this technique recently, but your base is such a perfectly simple design ... kudos!

Evil Wurst same, definitely gonna make a v2 out of this with a few building tricks I know that would work really well with this base (an example of one is stairs in that bottom part)

@@Malonik stairs go through everything. if you place stairs first, you can't place objects, but if you place objects, you can build stairs through them.

2021 and this beauty still works 👍. I found out that a great way to make the base seem believable is to leave the inner door open and the outer door closed, but without a lock, so people will think that you're a noob that forgot to put a lock and left the door open, and they just won't be able to resist their curiosity

Lol nice, that's a great idea! Glad to hear it still holds up so long after we made it. Originally we figured it'd last a month before everyone was too suss to go near little bases because of it lol.

Built one, server has been flooded with door campers and roaming packs of "this is a pvp game". Honestly... this base just made my rust day awesome... A little trick I did too was extra shotguns pointing up underneath the door where the floor drops out to stop peekers from shooting out the shotguns from the doorway. When the salty hordes come and they will, make sure to surround all your honeycombing with bear-traps and a bunch of landmines around for good measure. Most fun I've had playing rust... busy working on a sniper tower in range but honestly... this base has defended itself from some shit! Anyways thanks, you gained a sub and huge fan!

You don't need the two half walls, you only need one halfwall to place the floor above the TC, then you can replace with a full wall (Or place a temp half wall and floor on the outside). It reduces upkeep a slight amount (half wall uses the same amount of upkeep as a full wall).

Yeah I know, I went with the half walls to keep it as simple as possible and quick as possible. Plus just on the off chance that they patch out being able to do the half floors on full walls trick.

You definitely deserve more subscribers. This is amazing quality video, clean audio, pleasing clip arrangement, and a very helpful walkthrough of the base. Not to mention the intro, love that. One thing I would recommend however, for the curious ones, is voicing how the shotgun traps deal line of sight (to the "target" players) and with destroying the stability of the "rigged" foundation. Overall, I loved the vid. - A new subscriber

It was honestly amazing, the map was absolutely insane and took some very dedicated people a very long time. That being said it was totally worth it, they ended up raising $62,000. :)

We were messing around with spawning in cargo ships on my recording server. Ends up if you try and spawn one on a mountain it'll just spawn inside the mountain and do that lol.

Nah you don't have to do anything, once they walk into the room it triggers the shotgun traps which shoot the twig out. If you jump to 4:00 in the video it shows it in action.
