I've been a semi diesel tech for 25yrs now. You name it I've done it. ASE certified on Mack, Cummins, Detroit & Volvo. And all I have are two Snap On tool carts. One for all mechanical repairs. The other dedicated just for eletrical & laptop diagnostic, etc. Ive never understood these techs with huge boxs. No reason for it. But, each to their own.

There's no way your ASE certified on Mack cummins or Volvo Mack and Volvo go to the same school you either go to Chicago or South Carolina and Cummins is a whole nother school by itself there is no ASE certifications for those engines or those trucks you can get preventive maintenance heavy duty brakes heavy duty engines drivetrain you can't get ase-certified on Mack engines or Volvo engines you can go to school and be certified through Mack or Volvo but you don't go take a test for Mack and Volvo like you would an ASE certification

From what I've found Wright Tool company is the last privately owned and operated in America. They only use U.S. sourced steel, and it shows up at their facility near Columbus Ohio, as blanks and leave as a finished tool, all under one roof in house. Pretty cool.

Adam Engelberth They also have made impact sockets for the biggest names in the tool truck business. Their WrightGrip 2.0 wrenches are stronger and grip better than my Flankdrive Plus wrenches. They’ve never advertised because their focus has always been industrial markets plus making stuff for other tool companies. I hope they continue to be successful among all the import knockoffs that have flooded the market.

Diesel tech 4 life over here sir!! For the most part I love going to work every day! Been turning them BIG wrench’s for going on 15 years myself. Class 7-8 trucks mostly and heavy equipment from time to time. Not knockin on or taking anything away from the car or light duty guys- I have utmost respect for them- my brother is a Toyota dealer tech and loves it. Lots of $$ to be made if u do it right! I professionally did auto for a few years here and there but never liked it. I like light duty/automotive at home on my stuff or side jobs but 40 plus hours a week day in day out I’m a class 8 tech to the core. People fail to realize that now days it is every bit as computer/electronically controlled as the automotive smaller stuff.. if not more!! Especially the last few years with the RIDICULOUS EPA restrictions and everything! But all in all I love it man. Sulfur running thru my veins ( well used to anyways , I think I’m withdrawing haha) Anyways awesome tour awesome channels. Stay safe out there gentlemen and keeps turnin those big wrenchs!!! (And those smaller ones too lol). From Cleveland Ohio!!! Stay dirty!!

Nice setup he’s got there. I’ve been building up my “mechanics” box the past 3 years, I’m a welder/fabricator by trade. I used to just work out of tool bags and a ~250pc kobalt tool kit, it’s crazy to think how much I struggled on some jobs lacking the proper tools. Now at my current job, I work on everything... small engine, light car/truck, medium trucks, equipment... you name it, it comes through our shop. Because of that, my toolbox/cart setup has become quite the mishmash of stuff. I will say that he will probably love that thermal imager. I own the elite (newer) version, and I don’t use it everyday, but when I need it, boy does it save some time and it’s worth its weight in gold!

I felt it was really informative and you really brought the point across well. I am really interested in engineering and have had a career in engineering for over 28 years from everything from starting as a mechanics assistant to now a Project Manager. I enjoy sharing my skills and knowledge as well with others like yourself. I have provide training to others and had apprentices work with me to kick start there careers. I have started my own channel to share some of my knowledge. I thought your video was so good that I have subscribed and look forward to other content. Many thanks, Great job.

He prob works more on Diesel light truck “duramax” etc & Car rather than Semi vs like Koon trucking with the autolink and huge wrenches and tools made for semi. My favorite part of any video is kept tools from dad and grandfather. I love that stuff because the sentimental Value is worth more than the whole box to some people. Thanks for sharing... Jay

Adam Slack I have the Mac/dewalt brushless kit (1/2” HT and 3/8) and love them, the 3/8 is nice and stubby, great for brakes and tighter spots on cars, will take off wheels without thinking of it and the 1/2 is more powerful than our 3/4” gun. Two more guys in my shop got the Mac on deal and someone just got a Milwaukee so now we get to compare! The snap on that we have in the line out gets bailed out all the time by my gun even after being rebuilt, although that is an 18V gun from a few years ago.

Ha ha true. Although back in the day international made an engine that would start on gas until it warmed up then would switch to diesel. Seen one in action on an old crawler tractor. Legit spark plugs/wires/distributor on one side and diesel injection pump on the other. It’s been many a moon but if memory serves I believe the old timer told me that was internationals solution to cold start issues prior to modern glow plugs, or hell maybe prior to glow plugs period, not sure. I’ve got a 2010 Cat C15 that has a single spark plug on it for the emissions shit. Not nearly as cool as the old international, but a spark plug nonetheless.

@@brycejcox Very cool. We rescued a small dozer that was at the bottom of a pond after it filled up while digging it. the dozer sat at the bottom for over twenty years . It has been many years since we did this but I remember changing fluids and drying out the pony motor. When that started , the diesel was only minutes behind. I believe it was an international. Just incredible. I still know where it is and it has not been run for thirty years and the son of my friend will not sell it as of a few years ago. I really want to buy that as well as the farm truck I learned to drive in when I lied and said I could drive and the farmer called my bluff and said hop in. The truck was a15 speed diesel and the stake body was over stacked with hay bales. Barely made it out of the field without taking the telephone wires out and dumping the truck. So many awesome farm memories. I went to many years of school for a PhD in chemical engineering and I just opened a vintage chopper and metric cruiser shop with fabrication and tuning. Go Figure.

I love my Snapon ratchets, but the only ratchet I have that’s not a Snapon is a 3/8’s flex head matco ratchet 12” love it one of the best besides a Snapon.

What NO jb weld?? I ALWAYS have some sitting there, in the package... never opened. but i like to have it around it makes a good glue, good for plastics, but id never use it to replace metal or a weld.

I'm all for getting something done with best bang for the buck for the buck items. The thing I think some people are missing is that this guy is the owner of the business. I bet his accountant told him you need to speed x amount on tools every year or you'll have to pay a higher tax rate. I'm super cheap but if I was in that position I would have tons of the high dollar stuff too.

I’m sure there’s definitely a point of tax spending in there. Much rather spend the money on tools than give it to Uncle Sam

Been pulling wrenches on big gear for like a decade.... I have the lower half of a 54 inch box only and a 36 inch chest with cases of 3/4 and 1" sockets.. this guy must be working on stuff from another planet to need all that gear... and all snap on and Matco too? More money than the Alberta oil patch in the US apparently

Man, when you go to someone's shop don't cut or say you like brand x better then what they have. Stop saying, ”I don't even have these! Who cares what you have. Have some respect for others and their tools. If they ask your opinion give it, if not shut up. People might not be able to afford what you can.
