Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

It is always a pleasure to work on a tool that is well-engineered, well-designed, and well made.

It's surprising what can be brought back to life. I found, in an abanded barn, an old jigsaw. I think it was made in the 1940s. It was a mess. Just for something to entertain me with, I decided to try and restore it. The entire body was made of aluminum. Even the trigger. No ground. No safety measures at all. In today's standards. An accident waiting to happen. I made it look new again and it worked well too. It just got hot when used for more than five minutes. Back then, the standard voltage in the US was 110 VAC. Now, it's i20 to 125 VAC. So,, that might explain that. But after all my work, it got stolen by someone who I thought was my friend. 😒 That Ohms meter that you use. Manufactured in 1915?
