There are already enough comments about the fractures and trying to cold forge, so I'll leave that alone, but I did notice your hammer appears to have very sharp edges. Following some observations made by other blacksmiths; you may wish to round off the edges of the head so one side has bevelled edges, while the other is more like a large flattened ball shape, they give you more/better forging options and may help reduce the number of sharp defects in your work. Either way, keep up the good work on learning a profession thats harder than most realize.

You can't keep hammering on the steel when it loses the nice orange color. You are hammering cold steel and introducing stress fractures, which were clearly visible in your video. One whack in the wrong spot and that blade will shatter like glass. Good to see you making something from scratch though. Keep it up.
