what you look for is the little dimples in the medals witch take years to form anything also that younger than ww2 is mild fake where the still rusted but not natural

Yea all this guys stuff is fake basicallly these KZfaqrs just bury these guns in a forest or something similar for a month that’s why all the under parts of these weapons aren’t rusted and the furniture is rusted for some reason

@@yammyyuri9331 I think there is also a common method of just dipping these into a special acid. That oxidizes things in a matter of hours, making it rust. And because it is an acid, the rust partially dissolves into the acid, coating the non-metal parts in the rust as well.

Spray paint comes off so easily even with a good primer a small knock against something and you have a deep scratch or complete area of metal uncovered, l know because l had a few decommissioned guns as replicas, they had been rattle canned and a tiny tap against something brought off the paint. I resprayed with a primer and overlaid with a knock proof laquer, still came off with a careless knock 🤬

If this was a actual number matching gun or a actual parts kit it’s a priceless piece of history and it is cringe that it was naturally or artificially destroyed just to be destroyed and restored via spray paint and weld you could have just done rust remover smooth the metal surface and cold burnish it if this is infact not a true piece of history and is just a shitty replica then i don’t have any complaints on this job I hope and pray that is it is the latter which is a shitty parts kit

Don't see point in sandblasting,welding,grinding all that on something so pitted then spray painting obviously only usable as wall art, sandblast it slap on some bondo, spray paint it hang it on the wall.

Ok there is literally no way these are naturally distressed weapons. How is ever surface perfectly and evenly rusted? Protected areas should look less pitted and even some spots should look fairly decent. The pitting is horrible I’ll give you that

Your not supposed to spray paint that,plug you didn't even fill in the divets from the rust,you're supposed to use gun blue on the metal gun parts, not paint 🤔,good restoration try though 🤔

Look at the terrible pitting in the metal... no way i would shoot something that has been pitted this bad by rust. It's 💯 that the metal structure is severely compromised with that much rust... but awesome video.. i would keep this as a show piece

That bipod is not original maybe mg42 (posibly 53) modified to fit, also that magazine is not from the same gun, with the level of rust on the receiver, surely the thin sheet of metal the mag is made from would have been dust by now, really not sure how i feel about these restorations :/
